I have never done something like this before, I was desperate last night. I was searching for some kind of encouragement through counseling online. I found this and was touched by the music and by the words of step one.

I have come to a point in my life where I have nothing left but God. Every time I think I have something worth holding onto it gets taken away from me. I am alone and I have realized that maybe this is God's way of getting my full attention on Him. I have doubt, anger, depression and probably other problems that have not surfaced yet. I don't have a lot to complain about but yet if something goes wrong I have realized that I come to God second when I should seek Him out first.

I am encouraged by step two and feel lifted up. I want to see what God has for me, and if I have to lose everything to follow Him fully then I want to take that step. Just my thoughts of the day.

I've been where you are my sister. I lost everything that the world had to offer, but in turn I gained the love of Jesus. Sometimes God does have to take some drastic measures to get our attention. He does it only because He loves us so very much, not to punish us. God wants and needs to be first in your life. He can only help you, when you allow Him to. If you are putting other things before Him, then you won't be able to hear God and know the direction He wants to lead you.

As for the problems you are suffering with, the doubt, the anger...etc. Jesus heals, and He wants to heal you. You have taken the first steps on the journey to receiving His healing.

My prayers are with you on this journey.

Then id say you have everything you need already and anything else would just be icing on the precious cake. Icing is cool and all, but the cake's the thing

Its wonderful that you have started this program, as it shows that you are commited to seeking the Lord in your life and finding out what His will for you is. Dont be discouraged as you discover things that need to be dealt with. Thats the only way we can ever be healed... by realizing that we need help in those areas and taking the step towards getting that help. You are further along than you know

Hi hburns..and welcome to Oasis! i wanted to echo what my sisters here have said and let you know that you are not alone in this. Years ago, I asked the Lord to be Lord of my life and His will in it, whatever it may be. I too, lost everything I had placed my security in. I found my security was in Him and only in Him. He takes care of every single need we have. Sometimes what we think we need isnt what He KNOWS we need. Its not easy to surrender...but know that wherever it is He leading you, no matter what you have lost, He will take care of you and wants for you to trust Him in everything and for everything.

So glad you were led here to Oasis. Trust also that He led you here. Im standing with you, as so many are, through all of this. You are not alone.

thank you so much for your replies to my post. Its neat to see how God uses each and everyone of you to say something different and encouraging to me just the same. I have read each post and find something different in each one. God is great like that I love how he uses ordinary people in an extraordinary way. God bless you all

awww sis, God is amazing in the way He uses each part of the Body of Christ to make the whole Body...you fit into the Body as well. God brought you here for a reason.
