Sonderful Mystery Tag!

Postby saint701 » Tue Jul 21, 2009 3:45 pm

Hello (ALL), Mac, JCSM, Pine..

*AngelYellow*

Blessings!

Has been a while since I thought to do this., but keeping with our study of Matt. 24 and the mystery of the rapture we all kind of think is discussed there, seems to me there is a key that unlocks much of the mystery of the gospel, (or revelation of the mystery of the gospel) to our understanding and his name is Paul.

I know books written by Paul have been a bone of contention with various denominations for several hundred years. You know..saved by grace/saved by works, that kind of thing. But you all know as I do that those of the spirit mind the things of the spirit, and those of the flesh, the flesh. We being of the spirit, I think, should have no controversy siding with Paul as such, as his pathway should enable us to understand the mystery of the gospel as he did.

Over on walking together each day prayer chain I do believe I posted a prayer entitled "Prayer for Wisdom and Understanding." I posted it there because through that prayer, (or one like it), the "eyes" of our understanding should become enlightened so that we "know" things about the mystery of the gospel.

I repost Ephesians 1:17-23 here for the purpose of opening up "eyes" and for INPUT in understanding the mystery of the gospel. That is..let's get a discussion going on the various facets of the mystery of the gospel as it was revealed to Paul..and let's use "mystery" as the "topic" word in our discussion. (That means we are free to run references on the word "mystery," and bring in any "subtopic" our fingers run across.

Once again, "why do we pray Ephesians 1:17-23?" So that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, will give to us the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him, the eyes of our understanding be enlightened so that we know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his own right hand.

(This is like playing tag..ok, I open up with these super great scriptures about Paul, Colossians 1:25-27..Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfill the word of God; Even the mystery which has been kept hidden from ages and generations, but now is made know to his saints; To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among you; Which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

One more time, please allow me to clarify what we are doing here. We are taking a good hard look at the "revelation" Paul received about the "mystery of the gospel". Paul's writings are pregnant with references to revelation and mystery, and it is my hope that through playing a tag-like game of each of us sharing "one" of Paul's mystery topics here, we can all come to a better understanding of the "mystery of the gospel."

Here are the tag rules. 1. You must take your mystery topic from the New Testament. 2. Paul had to be the author. 3. You get 5 points for every mystery scripture you introduce for discussion. 4. You get 5 points for explaining your mystery scripture. You get 5 points for explaining someone else's mystery scripture if they don't. You get 10 points for explaining your scripture or someone else's scripture with a scripture from either the Old or New Testament.

For example, "Christ in you, the hope of glory." I John 4:13..Hereby we know that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit. I John 3:2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it does not yet appear what we shall be, but when he shall appear, we shall be like him.

Some mystery scriptures might be interpreted with scriptures previously used by another player. It is allowed to use scriptures more than once as long as they are reasonably defendable.

Blessings!

Hello Spirit and Everyone *hug*

God bless you this day.

I'm not sure if I totally understand what we're doing, lol but I'm game -- hope I did this right.

Philippians 4:12 I know both how to be abased and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.
Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

The word "instructed" is a "sister" word of the word "mystery" -- as per Strong's Concordance.

God bless you all.
Love,
Mack

2 Corinthians 5

For indeed while we are in this tent, we groan, being burdened, because we do not want to be unclothed but to be clothed, so that what is mortal will be swallowed up by life

Hello JCS, Saint and Everyone,

God bless you this day.

JCS, I have an Old Testament scripture that goes with your:
I Corinthians 15:52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet; for the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.

It is Isaiah 26:19 Thy dead men shall live, together with my dead body shall they arise. Awake and sing, ye that dwell in dust: for thy dew is as the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast out the dead.

I like the rest of that chapter of Isaiah too:
20) Come, my people, enter thou into they chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast.
21) For, behold, the Lord commeth out of His place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity: the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain.

*BigGrin* Yeah!!! *run*

God bless you all.

Gettin' back in the game!

Postby saint701 » Thu Jul 23, 2009 12:03 pm

Hi All,

*AngelYellow*
Blessings!

Seems I keep running into scriptures that refer to "Christ in you," the hope of glory..but you know that is just so awesome!

Will get a little long winded here, but my oh my what an exceedingly great work the Lord has begun in all of us! Wow! Wow! Wow! When you think of what He as called us to be! No wonder Peter and Paul and John, etc., were so excited about our Father's work in us..that when we see our Heavenly Dad as He is, we shall be like Him! Now that is a HIGH CALLING of GOD in CHRIST JESUS indeed!

Ephesians 1: 3-14

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: According as he has chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love; Having predestined us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he has made us accepted in the beloved. In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace; Wherein he has abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence; Having made known to us the "mystery" of his will, according to his good pleasure which he has purposed in himself; That in the dispensation of the fullness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth, even in him: In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will: That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ. In whom you also trusted, after that you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also after that you believed, you were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise; Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.

Colossians 1:25-27..Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfill the word of God; Even the mystery which has been kept hidden from ages and generations, but now is made know to his saints; To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among you; Which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

I John 4:13..Hereby we know that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit. I John 3:2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it does not yet appear what we shall be, but when he shall appear, we shall be like him.

Romans 8:16 The Spirit itself bears witness with our spirit that we are the children of God.

Hello Saint and Everyone *hug*

God bless you this day.

Thank you for sharing, Saint. Beautiful message and scriptures.

In the scripture Ephesians where it says..."Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory. "

the word "earnest" stood out to me. It reminded me of a term used in real estate, when someone puts down a deposit to buy a house -- an earnest money deposit, or good faith deposit -- showing your good will intent to commit to purchasing the house.

Jesus does that for us, His intention is to purchase our house (temple) vessel by the price He paid on the cross. We are purchased by the blood of His sacrifice. He made a Good Faith deposit -- The Holy Spirit within us when we confessed Him as Lord.

Love it, Love it, Love it. Thank You Lord.

Thank you, Spirit. Thank You Holy Spirit.

God bless you all.
Love,
Mack

Hello JCSM, Mac, All,

*AngelYellow*
Blessings!

Well, praise the name of Jesus, glory to God! For every shortcoming we think about ourselves, the Lord has provided us a "faith" response through our spirit in understanding the revelation of the mystery of the gospel, so that we can grow.

saint brother ya share what to do next k ... cuz yall know me LOL durdah dum

Ok, here is what you do, blessed, most precious brother, JCSM. Get a Strong's Condordance and 3 or 4 translations of the Bible. Look up mystery in the writings of Paul. Read and meditate on them all. Find the most truthful expositor of scripture on the Book of Romans, and start studying. Get a dictionary. Look up every word that you do not know. Study some more. Study until you feel like your mind is going to explode. Study some more.

AND

So dearest brother JCSM, please allow me to remind you of what faith within us has to say "by the Word of God" about us. God's word is so good, so precious, so powerful, so able to strengthen us and build us up if we, (through faith), will let it. So grab your table napkin, get out the knives and forks, we're gonn'a eat goooood..

Hebrews 11:1. (Amplified Version) Now faith is the assurance, (the confirmation), (the title deed,..thanks Mac!), of the things we hope for, being the proof of things we do not see, and the conviction of their reality, (faith perceiving as real fact that which), (at the current time has not been revealed to the senses).

Faith is faith, whether it was at our beginning in Christ Jesus where we believed in our heart, (first, before feeling or understanding anything more than Jesus died for our sins and was raised for our justification), and we made him Lord of our life through our confession, (the confession following our faith/belief in Him), or whether it is about what we have believed we have received of him through prayer for purpose of our growth.

We believed in Jesus, and we said so. Now the end of our faith is to achieve, (Ephesians 4:13), full manhood, (the completeness of personality which is nothing less than the standard height of Christ's own perfection), the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ and the completeness found in him. That is where we are headed, so let's start walking in that direction.

We need to start walking on the pathway of faith, where our perceived shortcomings are concerned, to help us move on toward that high calling of being like Jesus, a perfected son of God.

Jesus taught his deciples the rudiments of faith, Mark 11:22-24. (KJV) Have the faith of God. (Well, why not have it? You are his son whether male or female, {Gal:3:28}, and will be like him some day). (For), Verily, verily, I say unto you, if you shall say unto this mountain, be thou lifted up and cast into the sea, and shall not doubt in your heart, but believe those things that "you say" shall come to pass, you shall have whatsoever "you say." Therefore, when you pray, believe that you have received whatsoever that you have prayed for, and you shall have it.

JCSM, You said, "saint brother ya share what to do next k ... cuz yall know me LOL durdah dum."

Now let's get on the pathway. We believe, we pray, we confess what the Word of God says about us. We find something in scripture that says we can have something, or are something, or can be something, or should grow to be something, like, I want to be smarter.

I find the pathway in scripture, and pray for what has already been provided. Dad, your word says, (Amplified version), Ephesians 1:17-18, that you will give me a spirit of wisdom and revelation, (of insight into mysteries and secrets), in the, (deep and intimate), knowledge of you. By having the eyes of my heart flooded with light, so I can know the hope to which you have called me. Thanks, Dad, I believed I have received your spirit of wisdom and revelation. He is in me now.

Next step..exercise hope that causes me to get up and take a look a myself being smarter, (see myself as smart)..next step..I strengthen my faith with other scriptures that support the truth of what I believe that I have received through prayer, that say that I have what I've prayed for, or am what I have prayed for.

2 Timothy, 1:7. My Dad has not given me a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. (Hint..when the spirit of wisdom and revelation lets you know that he is in there, and he will, the power and the love will be there, too.)

I John 2:27 I have an anointing of the Lord that has taught me all (spiritual, parenthesis mine) things.

I Cor:2-16. I have the mind of Christ.

Philippians 4:13 KJV I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. (Don't get discouraged..we are all growing in the same direction. It is a process, and we are all at various stages of development. The key is to keep going, no matter what our flesh says about us, we need to contradict what our natural human inclination would be to say, and say what the good Word of our Dad has to say about us. God has not given me a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind.

The above is what the Word of God says about us. He is our Dad. Why shouldn't we say what our Dad says about us? When we see Him as He is, we are going to be like Him. Love you Dad! Your Word is so great! It is so spectacular. Thank you so much, Dad, for your spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of you! Thank you for the mind of Jesus. Thank you for the anointing that leads me into all undersanding. And thank you for the love and the power I have in you!

Blessed JCSM, please don't call yourself dumb, you wonderful son of our glorious dad, time for us to see us as He sees us, and say so..love ya! And All, Den.
