my baby doggie wont eat anymore

i went to leaps gma for 3 weeks and my uncle was calling me and saying he wouldnt eat. now that i am home sanna is really thin and still wont eat even when i feed him his favorite food

but their is something else going on with him too

he has fleas bad! we gave him two baths and put something on his back to help the fleas.

he is also not being himself at all

everytime we walk around him he trys to bite us that is not normal for him to do it. i could understand if he was protecting his food but he's not

i need help i want my sanna back and it is hurting me

anyone got any idea's?

It sounds like something to do with the fleas...

Try to get rid of the fleas and then try to get sanna
to eat someething.... I mean if that dont work
then I would suggest taking the dog to the vet to
see what is going on there...

he has always had fleas leapie i think it started because we was all gone for 3 weeks and sanna stayed at my uncles house

i'll try feeding him some of my dinner like he always had been

I can feel your worry and fears for your puppy. I am certain you would feel better after you take him to the vet. He will help with the flees and the eatting. They can give you a pill you could feed him once a month. The not eatting and biting at people is serious. You really need to get him looked at. Something is not right.

I use a flee comb on my pets and it works well. Also wash his bedding atleast once a week and vacuum twice a week.

my doggie did that one time I had to take him to the vet they gave me a tube of doggie vitiamin food and a syringe to feed him. He was pretty sick from the shock of the forth of july and his hair cut. He also needed antibiotics.

For the fleas if you have them in the house you got to sweep the carpets and furniture everyday. Get some floor powder that will kill fleas.

Make sure you give them a good flea shampoo and try a flea collar for a while sometimes them back meds dont work.

DO NOT GIVE A FLEA BATH, FLEA COLLAR AND SPOT ON BETWEEN HIS SHOULDERS NEAR THE SAME TIME. You have to be careful with chemical interactions.
Flea baths keep the chemical on the animal a week to two weeks depending on the product. Spot on usually works for a month but some people have been having to put it on twice a month.
Some spot ons are better quality then others. Sargents is really useless. Bio Spot and Frontline the best.

Cleaning the house out of fleas with the powder during the applications is a good idea.
To me it sounds like something happened to your dog at your uncles. Whether he fell, got treated different, whatever but it is something that really needs to be looked into by a vet. It's really not something to play with. Also having a stool sample checked for worms because with fleas there is always tape worms.

Pine: i think he lost the weight cause he missed us while we was gone

( i usally feed him when i eat everytime and he sometimes eats his own food too) he also sleeps with me (scraches flees ) , thanks for prayers



Deetu: i didnt know it would do anything to harm him with all the chemical. i will be more careful now!

i dont think he was treated badly at my uncles. my uncle knows how much he means to me and my uncle loves dogs and he is also worried about sanna health. my uncle was feeding him doggie food and vienna sausages and doggie treats thats all he could get him to eat and then again he wouldnt at much of it.

(i went and got the lil vienna sausages )

sanna is eatting more but not like he use to but i thats normal for him to do that.

we been giving him baths a lot but not with doggie shampoo just regular like we use. it is getting less and less.

he still bites when we walk past him when he is on the floor please still pray for my baby

do you correct him when he snaps as you are walking by?

he may think he is leader of the pack now and doesn't want anyone in his space.

ever watch the dog whisperer? he has many shows with this as a topic so you can see what i mean.
