oh wow.... a hearty AMEN mack!!! Only one other thing i would like to say, i know its hard when we look at self image and we see things we dont like about ourselves, but we are how God made us. I'm fat, I don't really like being fat, but it is just one part of me. It is definately not WHO I am. Sis,,, see yourself through God's eyes, wonderfully and beautifully made. You have an awesome spirit. I am sorry u feel so down on yourself right now, I will *Pray* that you will be able to see yourself as Jesus does!!!!

Hello Childscry,

Well I am glad I discerned correctly -- that you do not judge or dislike others who are overweight. It's time you stop judging yourself so harshly and unfairly as well.

If another person convinced you that your worth is in your appearance, well let me just say this: They were wrong. If it was satan...well, we know his intent: to steal, kill and destroy.

Just as Goldie said:
see yourself through God's eyes, wonderfully and beautifully made.

Jesus loves you so very much. Trust in Him.

God bless you, Childscry.
In His love,
Mack

well i recently cut sugar out of my diet and it was hard at first I am not going to lie.... it was an addiction and God showed me how it was just as bad as being a drug addict or alcholic.... so i cut it cold turkey ,.... my flesh screamed for days!lol...

there were visions of sugar plums dancing in my head! LOL

anyways God told me to replace it with fruit. After eating natural fruits in the place of my sugar, i realized that God made some pretty awesome stuff that is naturally sweet! But the food industry have coated our taste buds with sugar sugar sugar on everything!!!!

to say the least I feel great with way more energy! and can u believe it just by cutting out white sugar I have started slimming down without excersise!!!! God is great!!

It does hurt, to fail. So, if I hurt myself by failing, I guess I might hate myself . . . like I might hate someone else for hurting me.

So, what do I say, what do I do?

peace . . . God is better than we are, and He wants us to be forgiven.

I might be trying to lose weight in order to stop people from rejecting me; so when I fail, I can hate myself for making myself available to rejection . . . of people who do not know how to love, *anyway*. If they judge just by how we look . . . this is what they have been brainwashed to do, in Satan's kingdom. Beauty pageants can help to train guys to look at how beautiful a woman looks, and this can have them not finding out how to love. So, they are *losing* a lot more than we are, if all we get is their rejection.

"He can have compassion on those who are ignorant and going astray,

since he himself is also subject to weakness." (Hebrews 5:2)

So, we should have compassion on those and ourselves. We need to receive Jesus Christ's compassion, so now we can have this compassion making us able to help others. It's not for ourselves only, that we need to get healthier. Others need you to do better, so you can be their example.

This is possible with God; just submit to God.

keme hello nice to meet ya!!

Yea I know the feeling of the flesh crying out for what you deny it. Awesome how God has all ready provided exactly what we need.

I too have given up some foods I thought I could not live without. lol Funny thing they were foods that my body was not going to live with....as in foods affecting the quality of my health.

I have diabetes, it was a wake up call for me to do something about my health.
As I struggled...oh how I struggled at first...with changing the way I eat, also adding exercise to my day. I kept turning to the Lord for strength in making better choices on a healthier life style. In doing so it got easier, the weight just came off..it was like an extra bonus in addition to what my true goals were. Have since lost over 50 pounds, am stronger, my health is better than it has been in years and feel better about myself. God is good...and I praise Him for my success.

Aw now I do mess up some days...but it is not the end of my world when I do. I just start over again not allowing the enemy to ruin me or make me feel like a failure. God has His hand upon me.

Be encouraged ... continue doing what you have begun...you will have good results because of your choice at healthier eating. Gaining a stronger reliance upon God and a much stronger healthier body and mind to serve HIM with.

Blessings in abundance !!!

That's very good, about doing it in order to be healthier, not only to lose weight. I think of how now I am lightweight, about in the middle of the range that the American Diabetic Association says is the good weight range for someone my height and being a guy. But I don't do much exercise; so I have to eat only vitamin and mineral and roughage foods, so that what I eat will give me the nutrients I need. It is very important to make sure I don't eat stuff which has only high carbs and that's it.

My mother's husband had adult-onset diabetes. I understand she *made* him get to weight down, and then he stopped needing the insulin. But she was a stickler. She made him walk, and made him eat what was right. But he did not enjoy this, I suspect. With God, we can *enjoy* how He takes care of us. Seek and find how He will have you do this so you enjoy >

"'Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.'" (Matthew 7:7)

I have impurity problems and paranoia problems; I should not just be saying this to you, but seek and find how God will have *me* enjoying stopping my own problem stuff. Hmmm . . . so, this seeking and finding how to enjoy overcoming my own sin habits and problems would go for me, too.

Well comfy,

Would guess most people do not like anyone "making" them do anything even if it is for their own good. Your step dad may not have "liked" what he had to do he at least followed through. Hope he was healthier for his efforts and your mom's efforts.

I do not think anyone could have "made" me eat right or exercise..the desire had to come from within, from the Holy Spirit cause anytime I tried in my own will I failed. It took asking/seeking God's will for my life and asking Him to ease my path. It was work but then most good things take effort to accomplish... it is also a lifestyle choice.

Not knowing if you have the ability or if you choose not to exercise...but it is very important to exercise the body if one is able to do so. God created our healthy bodies, they are built to move, our muscles are made to work, there is great benefit in exercise.
So comfy if you are capable I would encourage you to do some sort of exercise ... if you are able.
