sla, I have a story to share with you sis. I've been at my job almost 6 years now, and about 5 years ago, there was a member who screamed and yelled at me in front of a lot of other members, embarrassing me for something I had not done to her liking. I ended up going off and crying. I was so angry with this member, wondering how she could do something such as this in front of so many. I worked on forgiving this lady, and have come to absolutely love her. She and I have gained a friendship over the years, and now when she comes in we share many delightful conversations, as well as she has given me some lovely gifts at Christmas time. Love your enemies sla, for sure, as you never know when they might endear themselves to you, and become someone very special in your life.

luv ya sis

Amen Sweetlittleangel.

Love your enemies.

Forgiveness is the key. Remember humans hurt Jesus and in the midst of the pain he cried out to the Father to forgive them for they know not what they are doing.

Someone said to me just the other day unforgiveness blocks us from hearing Gods voice. It seems to be true.

For your relationship with your daddy God forgive your enemies. :)

God bless you and keep you. *hug*
*angel7* Sorrow looks back, Worry looks around, But faith looks up! Live simply, love generously, care deeply, speak kindly and trust in our Creator who loves us.

"Even the robbers who were crucified with Him
reviled Him with the same thing."
(Matthew 27:44)

So, there was one point where both the robbers were bad-mouthing Jesus. And in the Gospel of Luke we have >

And when they had come to the place called Calvary,
there they crucified Him, and the criminals,
one on the right hand and the other on the left.

Then Jesus said,
. . . . . . . 'Father, forgive them,
. . . . . . . . . . . . for they do not know what they do.'
And they divided His garments and cast lots.
And the people stood looking on.
But even the rulers with them sneered,
saying, 'He saved other; let Him save Himself if He is
the Christ, the chosen of God.'
The soldiers also mocked Him, coming and offering Him sour wine,
and saying, 'If You are the King of the Jews, save yourself.'
And an inscription also was written over Him in letters of Greek, Latin, and Hebrew:

. . . 'THIS IS THE KING OF THE JEWS.'

Then one of the criminals who were hanged blasphemed Him, saying,
'If You are the Christ, save Yourself and us.'

But the other, answering, rebuked him, saying,
'Do you not even fear God,
seeing you are under the same condemnation?
And we indeed justly, for we receive the due reward of our deeds;
but this Man has done nothing wrong.'

Then he said to Jesus, 'Lord, remember me
. . . . . .when You come into Your kingdom.'
And Jesus said to him,
. . .'Assuredly, I say to you,
. . . . . . today you will be with Me in Paradise.'"
(Luke 23:34-43)

So, at one point, *both* those crucified with Jesus were reviling Him.
But Jesus *prayed* forgiveness to the people who were busy hating and torturing and murdering and cursing Him. And *then* . . . after Jesus had prayed out forgiveness . . . then was when one of those criminals stood up for Jesus.

So, I can see that prayer of forgiveness got one of those bad-mouthing guys changed to give himself to Jesus our Savior and King and Lord and Groom who is coming to share His own kingdom with us. I'd say He prayed out forgiveness to people who were still busy hating and murdering and cursing Jesus, and to ones who could care less about being forgiven. This was the cross of Jesus. Jesus loved us as Himself, making our sins *His* personal problem, in hope of sharing His very own with us. So, I can see that our cross includes making other people's sin problems our own problem, in caring prayer for them. Jesus left Heaven, itself, in order to reach us on the cross; so we, too, ought to be able to leave our own *little* heavens (witch may be *selfish* heavens), in order to reach and care for even our enemies whosoever . . . since we with God have the power.

He tells us to follow Him and carry our cross. This is the cross I understand Jesus means . . . a cross of loving even those who could care less about being forgiven, and praying with hope for these people. And look at how one of those criminals then became a true brother of Jesus.

So, we also who carry the cross which Jesus means can likewise have hope for any person, at all, no matter how evil, to become our own brother or sister in Jesus.

So . . . if only I would be like this. I need so much correction to real love. But thank You, God, for giving me this and to share this. And thank You for ones You use to pray this to become really true of how I love. Kissing You sweetly and groaning with appreciation . . . . . . . . . . .

So - - - Sweet Little Angel . . . you can love people and pray forgiveness to them and then see them change into children of God. At first, it seems both of those men on crosses were speaking evil against Jesus, but Jesus prayed and then one of them gave himself to Jesus.

Ah, but this is for Jesus, not just for what we can get for ourselves. We are here to please our Father, first; and in this we have the true strength, if we are not depending on what happens to us. So, for our counseling, maybe it can help to think first about what is the cross Jesus wants . . . how He wants us to openly submit to our Father to do what pleases our Father, like Jesus has done, not concerned about what we get in this life. And also . . . that we love those who do not deserve our love, and bear burdens and even suffer for ones who may not appreciate this, and *invest* loving forgiveness in prayer > a very good investment (o:
