The truth is I don't understand much about cell phones, so I am not trying to make light of youe situation, am just trying to understand.....Were you getting intimate? Anyhow...Be careful to take everything that God blesses you with and reflect his glory in it....

Hello Alex,

God bless you this day.

If I understand it correctly, your dad turned off your cell phone while you were in the middle of text messaging your penpal. You had mentioned that he asked you to slow down on the texting -- perhaps the sound of it was starting to get on his nerves. Maybe?

I just wanted to tell you, that I, as an older person, can find it kind of annoying when someone is texting or talking to someone else on the cell phone, while I'm in the room with them. I know this is a very popular and common thing that younger people do, but for me it can get to me a little bit. I don't want to have to listen to other people's phone conversations, and the sound of texting is almost like a leaky faucet, drip, drip, drip, drip, drip, drip. What can I say, it's an older person thingy *BigGrin*

I'm sorry it upset you so much, Alex. During those times, just go into your room and pray to God and ask Him to give you peace in your heart, and forgive your dad. God will comfort you, Alex.

God bless you, Alex. Jesus loves you.
In His love,
Mack

Hey Alex

Dont know if you'd remember me , but we met at chat room and chatted on a couple of occasions .

From what I'm reading , situationwise , at this very moment , there's a copy machine that's been grinding away at my ears for the past twenty mins . and I didnt even realize that I was aggravated till I read Mack's response , about the "noise" , and I am in agreement with that , now, like LJD , and Mack , I myself am having a hard time telling wether it was your father or hers that hung up , but that's irrelevant , some one hung up out of aggravation , wether it was noise or not .

Let me say something from my own experience with my daughter , there was a time when I suggested to her that when some one spends an hour on texting , there must be something wrong in the picture , and that was only my opinion . She understood , but did that stop her ? no , you know why ? 'cause the other party were not aware of it , and kept texting her , but she didnt know how to tell them to get on the puter or the phone .

Well as her father , or yours ,for that matter , may be feeling the same way , and that could be the only way they know how to make their point come across , that no matter what your reason maybe to spend an hour or so texting , that it is bothering someone . Well Alex , maybe if you were to take that into consideration you'd be so "hurt" as to spend precious time crying about it huh?, and spend that time talking rather texting .

P.S. Noticing the dates of posting and replies , I'm assuming you dont need to follow up on the issue, maybe it was solved ? Let us know how so that someone else in a similar situation would benefit from it

God Bless

See U in chat sometime
