Angel, God doesn't want you to fill yourself with things to take Him away from Him. He can't hang around when we do things that hurt Him. I pray that you will seek Him today and everyday, instead of what temporary reprieve you are now seeking in a bottle.
Praying for you.

If you choose to completely fall into Gods arms and grasp the joy he can give even when in the darkness this world brings it will be a greater feeling than that bottle or anything the world has to offer can ever bring you.
Sorrow looks back, Worry looks around, But faith looks up! Live simply, love generously, care deeply, speak kindly and trust in our Creator who loves us.

Hello Angelbaby,
Interesting question you posed there. What do you think? What type of things usually give you happiness and gladness?
Have you ever experienced "buyer's remorse"? Really wanted something, and perhaps really needed it too, but after you bought it you could not enjoy it because all you could think about was how much it cost and what other things you could have spent that money on?
Change can be a challenge to our carnal man. Why? because we put so much stock in things -- and we tend to identify with things and be guided by things. This is one of the many ways sin/satan works in our lives -- to keep us in bondage -- always regretting, always unsettled, always looking to the right and to the left. He presents offers fear into any situation where we will fall for it.
II Timothy 1:7 (NIV) For God did not give us a spirit of timidity (fear), but a spirit of power, of love and of self-disipline (a sound mind).
Born Again Christians have the Holy Spirit of God living inside them. He was sent to us once we accepted Jesus as our Saviour. Jesus called Him, The Comforter. We must connect to Him in order to receive that comfort. Being under the influence of any other substance prohibits us from connecting with The Holy Spirit; thus, prohibits us from receiving His comfort and counsel.
We all experience or are tempted by the enemy of our souls to walk in fear and regret and in confusion at times. If he can keep our focus off of our Lord, then he can mess with us. We must rise up in our spirit, alive and fire aflaming by the power of the Holy Spirit of God within us.
Call on Jesus. Lay all your concerns at His feet. Reach out to Him, confess your concerns to Him, and wait -- wait, trusting on your Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. He loves you, Angelbaby.
God bless you.
In His love,
Mack
