Hey Childscry ...time exercising is like that for me especially here lately... "to burn off some stuff in my head".
Exercise not only provides opportunity for better health, but at times it sure helps with mental crude. At these times it is nothing for me to walk... throwing a bit of runing in there, for 2 or 3 hours, bringing a tempoary relief to what is happening.

The time walking helps me to talk with God. It is time to ponder, consider, talk to myself, which I do alot of.
Walking our back field is very isolated. It offers that alone time with God and self. Life is always waiting, but the short time of isolation helps tremendously.

God Bless YOU Childscry

I understand what you both are saying.
I use to run 6+ miles a day to feel when I felt nothing.
Now I walk to focus my prayers and listen to him.

I never thought of it like burning off thoughts, but it is truely what it is like.
Hmm gotta think about that some more. :)

wow ladies awesome work!!! I might culd do a mile without passing out. October I like the walk in the back field, that sounds nice. Relaxing, unwinding sharing time with God and seeing His beautiful creations all around ya... oh wow. so totally cool!!! Burning off the thoughts in ur head, i thought maybe u meant running, but walking can do that too, but i guess i was seeing walking through the fields as more of a leisurely stroll taking in Gods beauty. Either way, i think its awesome that it brings ya'll peace.. so i just add a hearty amen!

yeah goldie...

The back fields offers needed solitude ... no strolling but lots of fast walking, maybe some running too.

YOU are so correct.. it is wonderful to take in God's beauty.
Being out there is especialy cool at night when the stars are out. No lights to take away their brightness along with the vastness of the night sky. Night is one of my favorite times to be out walking, although can not run I might fall in a hole LOL

ok so i did...3hrs at the gym today..

i was on the treadmill and noticed in the across parking lot that a car was left with its lights on...this drove me nuts for about 45 min into it......so i had to see whos car it was to tell them their lights were off....i was praying..God send someone over there to turn them off..cuz i know their battery was gonna die soon...lol well he didnt so i finally went over to the stores...which werent open...then i had to turn them off myself...thinking that the alarm might go off..oi! fortuneatlly it was an old car and they had their doors unlocked so i reached in there and turned them off...drove me mad! i think im ocd...lol....things have to be just right or i cant concentrate on working out.

so i did these things..

treadmill

eliptical

bike (met a nice old man who recently lost his wife :( so sad...but his name is Jim so we chatted for a while...he said he saw his priest there at the gym..but he asked me if i was catholic..i said was raised one..he goes well you best get back to church! LOL..i told him im a christian but he said well at least ya go! lol....never been nicely lectured by a catholic lol....

Stairmaster (had to try it..didnt last longer than 15 min lol)

Then did leg weights.

was a good workout..i was stinkin good by the time i left haha.
