jill's temple cleaning

Postby xxJILLxx » Thu Jan 29, 2009 4:51 am

Ok Guys i think it will be alot easier to keep track of each other and our progress if we have diff threads.

Ok After posting the last topic about leaky roofs and such i decided to sit and think what do i need to get rid of in this Temple and how can i make God more at home!

Things ill be working on!

1. Keep memorizing His word!

Psalms 119:11
Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.

2. i have to lose 17 lbs before my surgery, which i still have no surgery date yet.

(cant find no nice verses about that one)

need some help on this one...

3. make sure i reach out to at least one person a day that i dont know and say a kind word or an action of love .

Colossians 3:12
Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;

4. this one is personal but needs to be noted so I dont forget. Everyday set aside some time to talk with the HolySpirit in my personal journal.

4 is plenty to start me out! Hope this makes Him feel more at home!

and i was a little confused where to post this one but would like ya'll to hold me acountable to these please ;)

All right Lets get to cleaning His Temples up to Glorify God! *WooHoo*

do ya have an Aldi's near you? Their food is cheaper most of the time but its off brand.. i shop there some. Hmm other tips, use coupons, hmm i guess it depends on ur taste in food. Depending on family size, sometimes buying in bulk is cheaper in long run. Wishing u much luck on this sis

wow jill you gonna make some good changes for 2009, good for you.

with your food, i think it depends on what works for you, for instance. do you eat more carbs and less protein or do you eat more protein. this is important to know because i ran into serious trouble with my health and weight when i tried to eat "light" like the calorie reduced food and when i tried to eat high carb low protein - cutting out most red meat.

for me i need mostly meat, eggs, cheese, cold veggies (like salad veggies) hot veggies, ancient grains (such as quinoa, couscous etc.) and in that order.

but i've heard others that do better as veggans.

you need to experiement a little and see what makes your body feel strong, healthy and well.

i cannot really give any help or ideas with veggie type eating but i've got lots ideas for high protein eating ... roarrrrrr ... lol

awww Jill *hug* sis, we get sidetracked sometimes and i think that is how we grow. We learn more as a result of struggles i think, we just gotta make sure to turn em into stepping stones instead of allowing them to be stumbling blocks!!!!! No worries, sis, u r loved no doubt!!!! So, now u know wat u need to do rite?????

Luvs u much

Turn them into stepping stones instead of stumbling blocks. I like that :)

A very wise and good friend said to me one day, it's ok it's a learning curve. ;)

Jill.. :)

Hang in there... remember life is one big side track. The enemy is always bringing someone or some thing to distract you from your goal. So call on God and hang in there trusting Him.
Your goals will succeed because you are allowing the Lord to lead you and you are willing to get back on track to keep going.

OK so you blew 3 pounds, do not linger on that...just set it aside, let it go and loose it again.
Try to set small goals they are easier to reach. You have 17 pounds to loose concentrate on 3-5 pounds at a time then when that goal is reached go for the next 3-5 pounds. It soon accumulates and you have reached your goal weight.

As for what to eat Lion gave you some good stuff.

I myself stick with lots of veggies (1 cup serving), lots of fruit (1/2 cup serving), whole grain carbs (15-20 grams a serving), some meat (about a 6 ounce serving over a days time). Drink GALLONS of water. It is more about portion size than anything else, and LOTS of exercise !!!!

Well there is your being healthy lesson for the day LOLOLOL

Just eat what you know is healthy and stay away from what you all ready know is not good for you.

*Whistle* Rule of thumb if it tastes good do not eat it...LOLOL only kidding!!

*Greet* ... HIYA JILL-eeeee .... big hugs for my sista!!!

goldie gives wise words:
we just gotta make sure to turn em into stepping stones instead of allowing them to be stumbling blocks!!!!!

that nasty devil is waiting for you like a stalking predator ... it is inevitable that we will fall ... the real test of a godly woman is what you do AFTER you fall ....

do you stay down ..... pfffft ..... i think NOT. you are a fighter you will get back up and continue on your walk !!! :)

you keep on fighting the good fight and God, who chose you in the first place, will most certainly finish, in you, what He started.
