The waves are crashing around my head
Sleep eludes me, so I just lie in bed
Been long since I've been in this tempest
And all I long for is peace and rest
There is no ray of light that can be seen
And the storms in life seem real mean
But God is on my side, nothing can shake me
In the land of the living, His goodness will I see
What God has promised He will fulfill
So even in the storm, I will praise Him still
