Melissa sis, we come to the Lord as we are, and He accepts us, and slowly but surely, He changes our hearts He is so loving and merciful.
Look to your future in Him. Forgiveness allows you to move into this future, as unforgiveness keeps us chained to the past.
He has wonderful things in store for you, but you gotta walk the path. One day at a time
God bless u dear sis

Hi, Melissa. First, I wanted to tell you that in chat today, I heard what you were saying about being angry when you were out among people and just wanting to go home. I've kinda been chewing on it.
A few posts back you mentioned that you were lonely. You just broke up with someone. Loneliness is natural after a break-up. Just gotta give your heart some time to heal. I was pretty lonely too not so long ago. I cried all the time and sometimes I would shake so terribly I couldn't hold an object. I discovered a new love and He has really filled that hole in my heart. His name is Jesus. You know him too!
The study on Forgiveness is a real wake up call, isn't it? Amazing how much hurt and anger for others we keep inside us. It hurts us, really. Forgiving as Jesus taught us isn't easy at first. Some of us have to work at it. But it gets easier in time.
I am wondering if you have a problem with anxiety. Have you spoken with a doctor about it? If you are having problems dealing with people in most situations, you may want to consider talking to her/him.
Keep up the good work with the steps. God is with you and He loves you lots. We love you too. Glad to have you here at Oasis.

Hi, Melissa. Anger is like a cancer. It spreads quickly and eats you up. This is something you need to conquer. Try examining the reasons you are angry. Are they reasonable? Would you expect others to be angry with you for the same things?
Forgiveness is difficult, yes. It is going to be something you have to deal with for the remainder of your life. Don't let that hold you back from completing the steps. Let it be something you focus on daily, but continue to move forward. You will find the future steps will actually plant good seeds into your mind. They will assist you in finding love and forgiveness in your heart.
We are all in a constant journey towards spiritual growth. You are fairly new at truly having a relationship with the Lord. Don't give up out of frustration. If you fight this good fight, the reward is great.
Satan is used to having a stronghold over you. He will try all the tricks in his nasty little book to keep you away from God. Trust me, I've been there too. We have to fight to keep him from winning.
When you start having those thoughts and anger, listen to Christian music, read the bible, watch a Christian movie, read a Christian book, seek other Christians, come into chat here at Oasis, and keep praying! Ask the Holy Spirit to be with you for guidance and comfort. Talk to Him all day long. These things will assist you in finding forgiveness, peace, love, and joy! They work for me and will work for you too, if you allow them to. You gotta CHOOSE to allow them to.
You will be in my thoughts and prayers, Melissa. God bless and keep you.

Prayers for you Melissa.
I ask if I've offended you that you forgive me as well.
May the Lord make straight your path, guide you in removing the weeds, and allow righteous seeds to flurish in your garden.

Sorrow looks back, Worry looks around, But faith looks up! Live simply, love generously, care deeply, speak kindly and trust in our Creator who loves us.

Melissa my sister, you know I hear the fear in your words sis. You want so badly to heal, but yet are so frustrated as the changes aren't coming as quickly as you would like them to. Just remember sis, God is in control, everything in His time. As for the forgiveness, it is eating you sis. Those past hurts and pains you are carrying around. Ok, so it's hard to forgive everyone everything all at once. Begin working on one at a time. Just like weeds sis, you have several in forgiveness alone. Stop trying to pull all your weeds at once. Think about it, if you go to a garden and try to grab a handfull of weeds and pull them all out, they are probably just about immovable. Now if you reach down and grab one at a time, step by step, weed by weed they come up a lot easier. So don't get overwhelmed, just be patient with yourself and go slower. If the process takes you longer that's ok, because you have several years of weeds you have to pull. My prayers are with you today sis. Do something special for yourself. If it's nothing more than taking a hot bubble bath. Just do something to make you feel good. You deserve it.
My prayers are with you today.
luv ya
