feeling overwhelmed

Postby Tracy L » Sun Oct 26, 2008 4:32 am

As the close friends I have found on here, I can tell you at this time, I am feeling soooo overwhelmed with my problems. :(
The studies are great and I have learned sooo much and I am very appreciative of that BUT I have been struggling so bad with so many problems lately.
Yesterday was really bad. I hit an all time low. I am totally at a loss what to do with myself.
These are the things that are overwhelming me: my health issues (which continue to be unresolved), my emotional issues (I'm still grieving the loss of that particular relationship), financial problems, kid problems, loneliness, and just flat out deep depression. I feel myself sinkng lower and lower into the pits of depression. Yesterday, I went for a drive, alone, and just sat in my car, thinking, Lord, what am I to do? Where can I go? I am hurting so much from all this. I do take meds for the pain of the physical ailments but they just manage the pain. And I take meds for the depression but it doesn't really help. I am having such a hard time right now moving forward in my life and it is getting out of control. *help*
Please pray for me. I really need the Lord to show me the way in which to go.

Thanks friends,
Tracy

Tracy, do know that we are praying for you, Sister! You ARE embraced, and you ARE loved!!

As amazing as this program is, and as spectacular as everyone on here is, bottom line is -- no one knows the true depths of our walk and struggles but one person . . .

But you know what, that "one person" isn't ourself, it is God. He made us, loves us, knew us before the womb, and has not taken His ever-loving eye off us for even a second. He weeps over our difficulties, and feels our pains with every bit of hurt that we do.

But His love does reign over all else!! In fact, He willingly and lovingly sacrificed His one and only son to prove it to us -- and the devil!! The cross left no doubt as to who the victor is -- the One and Only God Almighty!!

So do we just ignore all the hurts and dispairs in our lives? Absolutely not. But instead of focusing on them and trying to fix them, we work to let go of our view of things and ask God to overwhelm us with His UNDERSTANDING of things. He knows how -- notwithstanding the millions of things bringing us down -- it ALL weaves together for His glory!

All of this junk working to His glory?!?!? You gotta be kidding me!!

No way! He, but only He, works it ALL to His glory. But we can never see that with OUR eyes and OUR understanding. That is why He puts His promised Holy Spirit directly into our hearts. We are never foresaken and never abandoned.

Tracy, never let your head hang low -- lift it to the Lord. Don't pretend -- lift it up with your depression; lift it up with your pain; lift it up with your tears . . . but do lift it up and thank Him for seeing you and hearing you, BECAUSE HE DOES!!

Put it all in His hands, Tracy . . . all of it. Trust. Cry. Rejoice. Through the storm, He is right there, walking calmly on top of the raging seas.

We love you, Sis, and we're praying and rejoicing with you.

Tracy my sister *hug* sounds like your having some tough times, and are having a hard time fighting your way through them. First I want to make a suggestion, that you call your doctor on Monday and tell him that your depression is really deep right now. Possibly he can either change your medicine or change your dosage. Sometimes depression is a clinical problem, so don't be afraid to see if your medicine might need some changes made.

Next, my dear sister, may you know I'm here for you and praying for you. I know you struggle sis, cuz there are times I struggle too. But when I'm in the midst of my struggles, I always make sure to take time to talk to the Lord, just like you did. Now that you have asked Him to show you the way sis, begin to listen, and do as He asks. He will open the doors and Light the path.

Tracy, hope to see you in the chatroom soon, so we can talk. May you know how much I luv you and Jesus luvs ya more.

Take care sis

Hello Tracy *hug*

God bless you.

Come on over here, have a seat. Let me fix you a cup of coffee or tea and let's share an ooey, gooey dessert. We won't even use napkins -- we'll scarf like little piglets then we'll lick our fingers. The sounds of our snorts will be drowned out by our giggles *BigGrin*

Ok, let's see what we have here: Health issues, financial problems, and kid problems. Hmmmmmmm. Health issues, financial problems, and kid problems. Health issues, financial problems, and kid problems. -- Ok, for the sake of ease, let's rename them: Lions and tigers and bears, oh my! Lions and tigers and bears, oh my! Lions and tigers and bears, oh my!

Ok Dorothy, let's eat some more sweets, and don't pay any attention to the icing all over your cheeks -- think of it as a new type of facial.

Jesus loves you. Jesus loves you. Jesus loves you. Jesus said, Come...come all of you who are weary and heavy laden and I WILL give you rest.

Ok, let's say that again. Jesus loves you. Jesus loves you. Jesus loves you. He said...come Tracy, you are weary and heavy laden, come and I WILL give you rest.

His Will is for you to rest in Him.

But, but, but...

Stop right there! The buts are what are so heavy. The buts are making you weary. If you bring your buts to Him, and lay them down at His feet, along with your whole being, He will give you rest. It is His will.

Rest, Tracy, rest. Rest in Him. He will work out the details. He will.

Rock-a-bye, don't you cry. Go to sleep My little baby.

Jesus loves you.

God bless you, Tracy.
Love,
Sister Mack

Hello Tracy,
I will keep you in my prayers sis, I know that things just seem unbearable but just hold on. Know that the storm wont last always it may seem like its never going to end, but know that whatever you go through GOD is with you and you have to just trust in him and trust me I know that it easier said then done especially when it seems like nothing is going right in your life and you have no one to turn to. GOD is always there and he will never put more on you then you can bare. I will keep you in my prayers.

Oh, oh oh! Girlfriend, I am right there with you! Life is spinning out of control and I was overwhelmed too.

But! Had a long talk with the Lord last night. Gave it all to Him to handle. It's just too much. He showed that He was listening. He's listening to you too. Just give it to him and TRUST Him.

A wise and sweet man said to "Let go and let God." (Let go of your problems and let God remove them)

Words to live by.

Now we can be about our Lords business.

heron *hug* Welcome to the Oasis, so glad you are here.

We've all made decisions in our life heron, but we can't let those hold us back. You have to forgive yourself, and allow Jesus to forgive you as well.

Jesus wants to be your best friend heron. He wants to hear all about your troubles, and then He wants to help you begin to really live the life you are promised through Him. I know right now, your proably wondering what's next, how can I move on...the answer is truly Jesus.

We have a Christian Counseling program here, I'd like to invite you to check out the study. It will help you heal from some of your past, and also help you grow in the Lord. Here's the link.

Hi, heron! I am so glad you posted! My daughter was in much of the same position as you are now. She was in her second year of college and had an emotional melt down. She came home two weeks ago and is doing better. She missed home terribly, had all difficult classes, a difficult roommate, and was dealing with other emotional problems due to poor decisions she made. For her, this was the best decision. Mom is loving her up. :)

Do you belong to a church? If not, find one and start going. Get involved in bible studies or youth groups. Surround yourself with positive people. Listen to Christian music and read the bible. It is uplifting.

You will be in my prayers. God bless and protect you.
