Todays Prayers

Postby Angelwings » Mon Sep 15, 2008 2:34 pm

The Lord is kind and merciful. *Pray*
Lord Jesus, we celebrate the feast of Our Lady of Sorrows. Mary knew about pain in her life and she lived this sorrow with deep trust in God. In these days that we are living, there is much sadness and fear in our world. Help us to turn towards you for strength and courage to bear the tragedies and sorrows that we are facing. Like Mary help us to grow in trust that we will know of your loving presence in our lives and in the world. We ask this in your name. Amen.

Put Courage Into My Heart *Pray*
Lord, put courage into my heart, and take away all that may hinder me serving you.
Free my tongue to proclaim your goodness, that all may understand me.
Give me friends to advise and help me, that by working together our efforts may bear abundant fruit.
And, above all, let me constantly remember that all my actions are in vain unless they are guided by your hand. *Amen*

Who May Stand Before the Lord? *Pray*
Psalm 24 *Bible*
Entrance into the Temple

The earth is the LORD's and all that is in it,
the world, and those who live in it;
for he has founded it on the seas,
and established it on the rivers.

Martha Williamson remembers a powerful lesson she learned from a childhood friend.
Who shall ascend the hill of the LORD?
And who shall stand in his holy place?
Those who have clean hands and pure hearts,
who do not lift up their souls to what is false,
and do not swear deceitfully.
They will receive blessing from the LORD,
and vindication from the God of their salvation.
Such is the company of those who seek him,
who seek the face of the God of Jacob. Selah

Lift up your heads, O gates!
and be lifted up, O ancient doors!
that the King of glory may come in.
Who is the King of glory?
The LORD, strong and mighty,
the LORD, mighty in battle.
Lift up your heads, O gates!
and be lifted up, O ancient doors!
that the King of glory may come in.
Who is this King of glory?
The LORD of hosts,
he is the King of glory. Selah

Angel Wisdom *Halo*
It was first whispered among the seraphim and cherubim, and then said aloud among the angels and archangels, that he didn't even look like an angel!
