Day 10

Postby Sylvia » Mon Jan 07, 2008 9:40 pm

Since I went on disability my prayer life has become something even more special then it was before. I am alone with the Lord all day long!
I love this time. I talk to Him all day. About everything. He is my best friend. He speaks to me. Not in thunder but in a still small voice.
When I make my cards I ask Him what picture He wants on the front. Because some of the cards I make I don't know the people. Like some of the soldiers I send cards to. God tells me what picture. He tells me what bible verses to use and what else to say. It is His cards. I am just the vessel.
He laid it on my heart to have a picture of a flag in the snow. It was for the soldiers. I didn't have one and I was trying to think of a place I could take a picture of it. A couple days later, an elderly man from church sent me some pictures he had taken of the latest snow storm. Sure enough, there was my picture of a flag flying with the beautiful new fallen snow at the base of the pole. I laughed out loud. I told the Lord how wonderful He is. He never ceases to surprise me!
I am so glad I have this time with Him.

Sylvia, your words bring a smile to my face. So glad to see you rejoicing in the Lord's glory. He is awesome and I agree it's a blessing to have time to spend with HIM. There's nothing better than to get up and face the day knowing that HE is there, watching you, guiding your steps and those of others, like the gentlemen who gave you those pictures. You know God knows all our needs no matter how small or how large.

Take care and God Bless you.
