Food For Thought: Tempeh Reuben Sandwich
Hello Everyone
God bless you this day.
Here is another protein alternative recipe: Tempeh Reuben Sandwich. I got this recipe from watching the TV Show "The Kitchen" where one of the show's hosts, Katie Lee, made it. I had never tried Tempeh which is a soybean product (found in the refrigerated section), but my hubby and I were daring enough to try it, and we enjoyed it to the point we've already had it a second time.
The substitutions we made were: we used cooking spray instead of olive oil, and we used a lot less butter on the bread slices. We used Avocado Oil Mayo, and No Salt Added Ketchup. We also used Great Value (Walmart) Deli Style thinly sliced Swiss Cheese (1 extra thin slice per sandwich) and only half of a slice of Great Value (Walmart) Deli Style Muenster Cheese per sandwich. We also substituted Rye Bread for the multigrain bread.

Matthew 4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
Deuteronomy 8:3 And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live.
Romans 8: 35-39
35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
God bless and keep you,
Mack
