we give thanks
We thank thee Lord for the beauty of creation
For the rainbow in the sky and the God of every nation
Because you set the sun, moon and stars into place
The planets and the heavens way up in space
We thank thee Lord for wonderful foods to eat
For clothes on our backs and shoes on our feet
Because the Lord hath given and he taketh away
The Bread of life will sustain us every day
We thank thee Lord for the blessings that you give
For sending us your son to die on the cross so that we can live
Because of salvation paid in full by the precious blood of the Lamb
The Alpha, the Omega the great I AM!

We thank the Lord for faith hope and love
For giving us assurance in heaven up above
Because our name is written in the Lambs book of life
We are freed eternally from all pain, suffering and strife.
I wrote this poem back in 2015
