Step One

It seems to me that the Holy Spirit is a friend who you can call upon day or night whenever you need someone to talk to... Someone who listens without judging you, helping you figure out what to do next by speaking to you through your heart.

Step Two

Open your heart and listen.... and you will hear.

So far I haven't come across any verses that I've had trouble understanding, but I'm fairly sure it will happen eventually... I'm still pretty new, and I'll be sure to share it.

Opening our heart and listening....sometimes I have to go to a very quiet place and be still....but it is well worth it. I love to hear God speak.

Step Three

I've done A TON of writing in the past 10 years or so. There's been times when I've been writing a story and, without even thinking about it, I've finished a chapter. I've also done free writes multiple times, and I believe that the Holy Spirit has guided my hand.

Do you have any spiritual writings? I too like to write and have even wrote an e-book that is published online here at Christianity Oasis. I would love to read some of your writings, if you ever feel like sharing.

I am so amazed to see how far you have come, since we first met. God is blessing you, and I am blessed to see Him moving in you. Keep it up!

Step Four

Something I've done many many times to comfort myself is to light a candle and to imagine feeding what I'm feeling to the flame.... I guess I was following "Let go and let God!" without realizing it.

Step Five

One of the hardest things for me to do is ask for help, especially when I need it the most. With the Holy Spirit by my side, I hope I can get better at it.

I too struggle with asking for help. I suppose it is Satan's whispers that I am bothering someone if I ask for help. I too am trying to get better at asking.
