Re: Who, What, or Where AM I? Bible Game

Postby Mackenaw » Thu Oct 20, 2016 6:12 am

Hello *Wave*

God bless you this day.

There are many scriptures that speak to this topic. God's Word is so very Good!!! Here are but a few of those:

Luke 22:28-30King James Version (KJV)
28 Ye are they which have continued with me in my temptations.
29 And I appoint unto you a kingdom, as my Father hath appointed unto me;
30 That ye may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

Revelation 3:21
21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.

Matthew 19:27-30King James Version (KJV)
27 Then answered Peter and said unto him, Behold, we have forsaken all, and followed thee; what shall we have therefore?
28 And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
29 And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name's sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life.
30 But many that are first shall be last; and the last shall be first.

In the Bible, are there any mentions of female angels?

Hi Mackenaw *Wave*

You are correct. The Apostles sit on twelve thrones of judgment.

Commonly there is no mention of female angels in the bible. But,

Zechariah 5:9 Then lifted I up mine eyes, and looked, and, behold, there came out two women, and the wind was in their wings; for they had wings like the wings of a stork: and they lifted up the ephah between the earth and the heaven.

suggest otherwise.

Personally. I believe that angels are neither male nor female.

The devil is the Father of what?...according to Jesus.

The father of a liar and lies.

John 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

According to The Bible, how many wise men came from the east to Jerusalem in search of the King of the Jews?

There were three wise men.

What did Jesus say to the crowd of people who brought him the adulteress to be stoned?

Hello Everyone :)
Hello Notforgotten *Wave*

Just a few years ago, I would have answered the same -- that there were 3 wise men. I was shocked to find out that no where in The Bible does it say that there were 3 wise men. The Bible does list 3 gifts, but, it doesn't give the number of magi or wise men.

Just a couple weeks ago, there was a question/answer on the TV Show "Jeopardy" about the 3 wise men -- and they went as far as to name them. The category title was something similar to Bible characters, or something like that. I have researched and cannot find where the 3 names originated. I did read that some 13th Century writings of Marco Polo named them, but that would seem rather late for it to be so readily accepted by so many church -- not to mention the Feast Celebration called Feast of Epiphany or Feast of Theophany, or Feast of The Three Kings celebrated by so many churches of Christian faith. It is true that many churches accept that there were 3 wise men/magi and many churches that accept that their names were Balthasar, Melchior, and Gaspar; however, it is not because of any information provided within the Bible scriptures.

Also, some say that the prophetic scripture in (Psalm 72:10) supports that there were 3.

Psalm 72:10 Psalm 72:10King James Version (KJV) The kings of Tarshish and of the isles shall bring presents: the kings of Sheba and Seba shall offer gifts.

However, when one reads that Holy scripture, one might believe there were 2, 3, or more. There is no definitive answer.

Soooooo, while it is commonly accepted by Christians and non-Christians alike, that there were 3 wise men -- it is not Biblical.

In regards to the question: What did Jesus say to the crowd of people who brought him the adulteress to be stoned?

John 8:7 So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.

He convinced her to eat the fruit of the tree which was in the midst of the garden. The fruit of the tree that would make one wise.

Genesis 3
2 And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:
3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.
4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:
5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

He runs from Jezebel when Jezebel sends him a death warning.

1 Kings 19:3. Elijah was terrified, so he got up and ran for his life to Beer-sheba, which is part of Judah, and left his servant there.

What runs to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him?

Answer: The eyes of The Lord

II Chronicles 16:9
For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. Herein thou hast done foolishly: therefore from henceforth thou shalt have wars.

By the way, the end story of Asa, King of Judah, which is recorded in the 16th chapter of II Chronicles, is a good story to read as a reminder to all of us to seek God, first and foremost, in all things.

Did Mary, mother of Jesus, have any other children?
