Ode to the Overseers
God's Children are born into a world of lures
Despite the stories, they end up on the path
Soon dwell in darkness, seeking the cures
You've been there, do the math
In a moment of need, they are led to seek
Not at all sure where to start
A way out of hopelessness, perhaps just a peek
They begin their journey with just a lil heart
Type in some words and the journey begins
Uncertain if it is memorex or real
As they sojourn they're reminded of their sins
Those things in the past which they try and conceal
Led to a place which emits a new light
Wondering within, could this be the way
It is so close, it is within sight
As they read more, they are inspired to pray
Landing them in an unfamiliar realm
They carry on, saying ... Why not
They can always stay at the helm
Nothing lost, nothing bought
Asked by strangers to share their past
They take that leap and bear their soul
Feeling a lil freedom, at last
After all ... That is the goal
They await responses, will they be heard
Or are they simply whispering to walls
Will they be deemed as gross or absurd
Will anyone hear the cries, the calls
They eagerly return hour after hour
Hoping to receive a simple note
Which may bestow a lil power
To overcome the dread on which they dote
At last, they look in to find a reply
Could someone have actually read
The fear within is hard to deny
Another cynic or judge ... They dread
As they read the words from this other
They are shocked to find a friendly word
Like words from a sister or brother
It appears they were heard
There is hope, they are not alone
Could this really be true
No need for tear, fear or moan
No more need to be continually blue
HOPE is restored, it is at hand
Potential to escape the cage
The flame within has been fanned
They can turn the page
They respond in kind, with a thanks
Hoping to hear more
Assuring this is not more pranks
They are standing at the door
.......
Isaiah 6:8 ... Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.
Matthew 21:28-31 ... But what think ye? A certain man had two sons; and he came to the first, and said, Son, go work to day in my vineyard. He answered and said, I will not: but afterward he repented, and went. And he came to the second, and said likewise. And he answered and said, I go, sir: and went not. Whether of them twain did the will of his father? They say unto him, The first. Jesus saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That the publicans and the harlots go into the Kingdom of God before you.
2 Corinthians 8:11 ... Now therefore perform the doing of it; that as there was a readiness to will, so there may be a performance also out of that which ye have.
Ephesians 6:6-8 ... Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart; With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men: Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man doeth, the same shall he receive of the Lord, whether he be bond or free.
1 Timothy 4:16 ... Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.
Can you hear HIM now?
To those who can and intended to HEAR ...
Luv all of ya
