Day 5

Postby Danacovertiscool » Wed Feb 04, 2015 10:50 am

Hello. I'm here to say that nobody's to blame for my problem with my ex friend. I wrote the letter to him, not expecting anything special to come out of it except us talking on the phone about it. Did that happen? Nope. I wanted him to know from me that the friendship is over. Not through my friend Ryan. I didn't like have Ryan going back and forth trying to get this done, said and over with. It is on my exes part. I'm slowly learning to get on with my life and forget about him totally I don't know if I've mentioned that it only happens on Tuesday nights that this child(36 year old) gets brought up. I forgot last night to tell Ryan that we're OFFICIALLY done talking about this sore subject. I promise next Tuesday night I'll mention it right after we say our hellos.

I'm doing good otherwise. Nothing going on. Just snowed a tiny bit last night. Then today off and on. Then tomorrow. Then done Friday. Then Saturday, Sunday, and Monday it's supposed to snow pretty good. Don't know how much. Hopefully after that it will be done. Dang. I'm getting sick of the snow. Can Spring come too soon? Hurry up Spring.

His mother may have intercepted the letter. Mothers do that kind of thing sometimes. I wouldn't assume that he got it unless Ryan tells you he did.

I don't think writing to tell him something is over after weeks is really telling him it is over. I think it is asking that he talk you out of it.
Hugs,

That's not what the letter was about at all. It was trying to get him to make up his mind about another now ex friend. He needed to decide if he was going to be friends with this ex friend. And, I said,"I don't know if you're lying about the JJ issue or not." That made his mom decide that it was over. I WAS going to end the friendship but it's over. And it will be over for good.

I didn't mean the old letter. I meant the new one. When you say something is over for days, weeks and months - then it isn't really over. When something is over you quit talking about it. Or maybe you mention it on occasion - but not daily or even weekly.

Writing a letter about something being over that supposedly has been over for weeks is not a way to make it more over. It is a way of trying to keep it from really being over.

If you want it to be over, then you don't talk about it anymore. You don't write. You don't even think about whether or not it is over. You just know and you go on to other things.

You seem particularly stuck. Which means it isn't over. It isn't over until you quit holding onto it and dwelling on it and talking about it and let it go. Then it can be over. Until you do it isn't.
