Hello everyone. I am a teenager whose struggling with his sexuality and I hope someone can hear my plea for help… I have no one to talk to in person about this, whether it be friends or family. I'm addicted to masturbation and pornography, I do at least 1-4 times a day, and I know it's not pleasing to God, I've commited adultery within my heart by looking lustfully at another. I've also started questioning my sexual orientation and have developed an attraction to my same sex. Yes, I think it's wrong. I think homosexuality is perverse, unnatural. I want to be a father one day, with a wife to raise my kids. That's how it's intended to be. My body is a temple for the Holy Spirit, and I've made a mockery of it. After discovering and exploring my sexuality I've felt farther from God than before. I find it harder to pray, harder to read His word with full focus. I want someone to pray for me. I want to be closer to God. Yes, I'm a Christian, I accepted Jesus when I was 8. Now, it feels almost as if I haven't... I love God. He loves me. Why don't I treat him like it? I don't know... I go to a Christian school where I have exposure to him everyday, but I always fall back into my sinful nature. The urges always come to me and I want to overcome my problem. I don't know how this will affect me in the future, I feel ruined as it is. Please help me...

God loves you no matter what. And God wants time with you no matter what. Put your confusion aside most of the time to spend time with God. I will send you a PM about the confusion. But it is very important to realize that the biggest problem with sin is letting it separate us from God. So, sin or not - keep in touch with God. But I will write you on that.
Hugs,
Dema

Hello Joeywashere :)

God bless you this day, and welcome to Christianity Oasis.

You have, no doubt, been exposed to God's Word, and you have heard very strong teachings of God's Word. Hallelujah! However, you write as someone feeling condemned, and that condemnation is coming from the enemy of your soul. God loves you, Joeywashere! Jesus loves you, Joeywashere! The Holy Spirit loves you, Joeywashere!

God corrects those He loves, but as a professed Christian...as a loved child of God, you are loved with a blessed grace covering you by the blood of Jesus.

As a child of God, through Jesus, you do, indeed, have the indwelling of The Holy Spirit. Therefore, you have 24/7 access to the fruit of The Holy Spirit, and one of those fruit is self-control. Reach for Him, reach for His self-control whenever the temptation arises. Remind yourself that you are loved, you are cherished and you are empowered by The Lord God Almighty, and praise Him!

I recommend that you read Romans chapters 7 and 8. The Apostle Paul writes about the struggle between the old and new nature -- between the flesh and spirit.

I also recommend that you read and re-read the Gospel of John, and be reminded how much Almighty God loves you.

There is also a blessed study on this site that I highly recommend...here is the link: http://www.christianityoasis.com/TeenCh ... /Forum.htm
It is a 14 Day Study, and it will help you grow in your understanding of God, Jesus and The Holy Spirit. They as One desire that you grow your relationship with Them.

You mentioned you have no one to talk to, so, now the enemy of your soul (Satan) is playing havoc making you believe you must hide in shame and condemnation. There is no hiding necessary as a child of God. However, a sweet and intimate relationship with The Lord awaits you. Go into your prayer closet (somewhere where no one will hear you) and cry out to The Lord. The Lord is truly waiting for you, and He hears your cries.

I am lifting up prayers to our Lord in the name of Jesus on your behalf. God's will be done.

Remember...Jesus loves you so very much.

God bless and keep you.
In Christ Jesus' love,
Sister Mack
