Tired and Ready


my heart needs a hug.

feel like i will die.

do not look at me.

need to sob, scream, shake, rage.

get this out of me.

need to get some Blessed relief.

hug every part of me that is aching,

so i do not go away.

tired of spending nights clutching knives,

waiting for them to come back.

tired of spending nights curled up in the closet,

wishing i could crawl back to somewhere safe.

i am ready,

on my knees,

hands raised high,

heart wide open,

waiting for healing, instead of hurt.
