Shan's Daily Inspiration from God

Postby Shan » Fri Feb 01, 2013 5:45 pm

Each day I want to write something that God has shown me through His Holy Spirit. I'm hoping this commitment will help me even more to stay on the straight and narrow path that is God's Way which is so perfect and righteous. I will stumble and fall along the way but with my hope in the Lord Almighty maybe it will be a little less each day and with a repentant heart towards my God He will reach out his hand and help me to dust myself off and continue down His path with him. I never want to be a stumbling block to anyone again, so God by your power alone help me.

I remember when you called me to you God. I was eleven. I remember the fear in me when I started to realize what would happen to me if I didn't accept your Son as my Savior. I didn't want to burn in a lake of fire for eternity for the sins I had done or would do. So as a child You gave me the blind faith I had to believe Your Word as Truth and accepted Your Son Jesus as my Savior. I understood Your Sovereignty and that we belonged to You and were/are under Your Reign. Now today as a woman I look at you still with the same reverence and fear but with also admiration and trust because YOU ARE WORTHY. I don't think Father that people even know what worthy means until they know YOU. Until they know Your SON. Until they know that YOU ARE WORTHY by reading and studying Your WORD with Your Holy Spirit. You have proven yourself over and over to me and not because You had to but because it's who YOU are. There is no pride in YOU and the defenition in the dictionary for worthy should read GOD.

I was reading your Holy Word today and came across something that I can make sense of in a different way on this new day you've given to me. The second verse of Isaiah 9 is what reminded me of the day I heard about your Son, Jesus. Ahhh, there was hope for me, a little child who was living in darkness at home. When I gave Jesus my heart I remember turning around to face the congregation...I was so nervous but as I sit here and remember I know Your Light was radiating from the smile on my face and the tears in my eyes. I was rejoicing before you as verse 3 describes. It's so neat to me God that your word is so true! Verse 4 shows me your mighty power and unconditional love. Your reign is supreme and righteous God as you show in verse 5 and to the sinner who doesn't repent and choose you, YOU will have justice. For your Word says in verse 6 "FOR TO US" (your mercy and grace) "a child is born, to us a son is given" and I can just imagine all the angels in heaven singing Hallelujah! What a beautiful picture and sound. And one of the best parts of this Word today God that I am so blessed to have read and gained new understanding is in verse 7. "Of the greatness of his government and peace there will be no end". Amen! How HE will REIGN over HIS people and KINGDOM establishing it and upholding it with justice and righteousness forever. In a world that is ungodly this is our answer, oh God if your people would just seek you! In your great love for your people you have given us a RULER WHO IS WORTHY. Whether your people believe or not does not change the truth, HE REIGNS. God is patient but a time IS coming when HE will have His day of judgement. And His judgement is righteous and true.

Isaiah 9: Nevertheless, there will be no more gloom for those who were in distress. In the past he humbled the land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, but in the future he will honor Galilee of the nations, by the Way of the Sea, beyond the Jordan—

2 The people walking in darkness
have seen a great light;
on those living in the land of deep darkness
a light has dawned.
3 You have enlarged the nation
and increased their joy;
they rejoice before you
as people rejoice at the harvest,
as warriors rejoice
when dividing the plunder.
4 For as in the day of Midian’s defeat,
you have shattered
the yoke that burdens them,
the bar across their shoulders,
the rod of their oppressor.
5 Every warrior’s boot used in battle
and every garment rolled in blood
will be destined for burning,
will be fuel for the fire.
6 For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given,
and the government will be on his shoulders.
And he will be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
7 Of the greatness of his government and peace
there will be no end.
He will reign on David’s throne
and over his kingdom,
establishing and upholding it
with justice and righteousness
from that time on and forever.
The zeal of the Lord Almighty
will accomplish this.

Hurting heart and broken wings
Cannot stop Your love from always finding me
No more days wasting away
I finally realize the gift inside of me

My strength alone will never be enough
But Your arms keep lifting me up

You tell me I've been made free
You give me everything I need to walk in my dreams
You whisper words that free my soul
You're the reason I have hope
You're everything I need and more
You made me
You made me free

I was caged in, then You opened
Every door that held me bound and You gave me the key
No more pressure I can just breathe
The girl I tried so hard to be, has always been me

My strength alone will never be enough
But Your arms keep lifting me up

You tell me I've been made free
You give me everything I need to walk in my dreams
You whisper words that free my soul
You're the reason I have hope
You're everything I need and more

Now I'm free to love, free to live,
Free to take my life and give it all to You

In my study of the Virtuous Woman today was the teaching of being humble and submissiveness and how the worldly ways creep in on us when we are young girls and starts changing that in us if we start to believe the world. This world has taken what was meant as a blessing to man from God and made it despicable. As wives we are to be submissive and humble to our husbands (Gen 3:16, Eph 5:22-24). Women are not equal to men, God didn't create women to be equal (1Cor 11:3,8,9) but to be a helper to our husbands (Gen 2:18). That hasn't changed with God but it has with the world. As wives we need to humble ourselves as Christ did for His church and serve and honor our husbands and be a compliment to them. Not nagging and whining about how we don't want to do this or do that. Too many women have put the ways of the world above their family and don't have the time or strength to do much at home, what a shame! If your too busy or worn out to serve and honor your family then you need to get right with God and let Him start re-prioritizing things in your life. I'm sure there are many who just cringe to see a woman speaking this way but it is the right way therefore it won't be popular to the world.

Are you a compliment to your husband? Do you serve and honor your husband in humbleness with strength from the Lord? It is my heartfelt desire to SHOW my husband that I love and honor God by serving my husband with humbleness and strength with each new day God blesses me with.

What a glorious day in the Lord we've been blessed with!

Sometimes the devil starts whispering those same old lies he's been saying for so long that a part of me will get that feeling of unease and I'm so thankful that the Holy Spirit is walking with me and saying, hey yoohoo look towards Me and My Truth! GOD is sooooo GOOD! Come, rest in His promises...

"For a day in your courts is better
than a thousand elsewhere.
I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God
than dwell in the tents of wickedness.
For the Lord God is a sun and shield;
the Lord bestows favor and honor.
No good thing does he withhold
from those who walk uprightly.
O Lord of hosts,
blessed is the one who trusts in you!" (Psalm 84:10-12)

When learning about Honor today the Holy Spirit showed me what that means through the Word of Jesus in John Chapter 17. Thank You Jesus! It is my heartfelt desire to honor God by becoming ONE in the body of Christ with believer's. Let HIM be our Way, let HIM be our Truth and the Way to Life as the body of Christ.

.....................

1 When Jesus had spoken these words, he lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, “Father, the hour has come; glorify your Son that the Son may glorify you, 2 since you have given him authority over all flesh, to give eternal life to all whom you have given him.

3 And this is eternal life, that they know you the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.

4 I glorified you on earth, having accomplished the work that you gave me to do.

5 And now, Father, glorify me in your own presence with the glory that I had with you before the world existed.

6 “I have manifested your name to the people whom you gave me out of the world. Yours they were, and you gave them to me, and they have kept your word.

7 Now they know that everything that you have given me is from you.

8 For I have given them the words that you gave me, and they have received them and have come to know in truth that I came from you; and they have believed that you sent me.

9 I am praying for them. I am not praying for the world but for those whom you have given me, for they are yours.

10 All mine are yours, and yours are mine, and I am glorified in them.

11 And I am no longer in the world, but they are in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, keep them in your name, which you have given me, that they may be one, even as we are one.

12 While I was with them, I kept them in your name, which you have given me. I have guarded them, and not one of them has been lost except the son of destruction, that the Scripture might be fulfilled.

13 But now I am coming to you, and these things I speak in the world, that they may have my joy fulfilled in themselves.

14 I have given them your word, and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.

15 I do not ask that you take them out of the world, but that you keep them from the evil one. 16 They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.

17 Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth.

18 As you sent me into the world, so I have sent them into the world.

19 And for their sake I consecrate myself, that they also may be sanctified in truth.

20 “I do not ask for these only, but also for those who will believe in me through their word, 21 that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me.

22 The glory that you have given me I have given to them, that they may be one even as we are one, 23 I in them and you in me, that they may become perfectly one, so that the world may know that you sent me and loved them even as you loved me.

24 Father, I desire that they also, whom you have given me, may be with me where I am, to see my glory that you have given me because you loved me before the foundation of the world.

25 O righteous Father, even though the world does not know you, I know you, and these know that you have sent me.

26 I made known to them your name, and I will continue to make it known, that the love with which you have loved me may be in them, and I in them.”

AMEN!

Thank you for writing upon my heart sweet, precious Savior. My heart is forever your's. May I sing for you always Daddy God, especially in the days of tribulation. Teach me a new song, I will sing it for you. Lead me in your path and I will follow. I know that YOU will never forsake me in my weakness. My heart is so FULLLLLLLLLLLLL God it is overflowing with YOU. Thank You. It feels so GOOD, You are so Good. I'm safe with You, no matter what's going on around me and no matter if this world conspires against me, my God You are a Mighty God. How majestic is your name in all the earth. You are the King of kings, you are the King of Glory, the Lord of lords, the Host of hosts, the Great I AM, the Alpha and the Omega, the Great Physician, the Most High God, the everlasting God, the Ancient of Days, Author of peace. Thank you for coming down God and giving us your one and only begotten Son. Jesus thank you for bearing the WEIGHT of my sin, my guilt, my shame, my pain, for shedding your blood for a wretch like me. Thank you for defeating satan. Holy Spirit, my Counselor, thank you, you teach me the Truth, you guide me down the path of righteousness for His name's sake. It is my desire heavenly Father to be ONE with you. Fill me with more of you and less of me. Amen

Today I feel like David must have felt Heavenly Father when his people were turning against you. It frustrates and saddens me to see so much corruption and filth in this country, in the world. God give me your boldness Paul spoke of in his letters to speak your TRUTH, your WORD, the Word Jesus came down to earth to deliver to your people. I don't want to just speak your Word but I would that I could LIVE that Word. Jesus died for the WORD, if only I could have a fraction of that boldness!!!!! Wisdom is the fear of the Lord, we are an unwise people! Forgive us, have mercy on us dear God for we are a rebellious people turning against your ways. My heart cries out to You, save your people from the enemy. May your saints be bold and teach and preach and live according to your Word. It is only by Your Power that we can do any good thing so pour out Your Power and Spirit upon us for your name's sake, for your glory. Amen

I am reminded today by the Holy Spirit that nothing is ours. It is all....His, the Almighty God.

We tend to view things as MY spouse, MY child, MY pet, MY friend, MY house and that mindset can cause some major problems in our lives when we lose one of them.

Like Job said in 1:21 - "naked I came out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return; the Lord gave and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord."

And Paul says in 1Timothy 6:7 - "For we brought nothing into this world, and it's certain we can carry nothing out."

We don't even belong to ourselves 1Corinthians 6:19 says, "our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, which we have by God and we are not our own."

I am reminded of David when he had the chance to avenge himself against Saul. 1Samuel 26:9 And David said to Abishai, “Do not destroy him; for who can stretch out his hand against the Lord’s anointed, and be guiltless?”

I am not my own, I am wholly your's God. Be my hands and feet, give me ears to hear, eyes to see and words to speak. Thank You Sovereign God. Amen.

Titus 2

1 But as for you, teach what accords with sound doctrine. 2 Older men are to be sober-minded, dignified, self-controlled, sound in faith, in love, and in steadfastness. 3 Older women likewise are to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers or slaves to much wine. They are to teach what is good, 4 and so train the young women to love their husbands and children, 5 to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be reviled. 6 Likewise, urge the younger men to be self-controlled. 7 Show yourself in all respects to be a model of good works, and in your teaching show integrity, dignity, 8 and sound speech that cannot be condemned, so that an opponent may be put to shame, having nothing evil to say about us. 9 Bondservants are to be submissive to their own masters in everything; they are to be well-pleasing, not argumentative, 10 not pilfering, but showing all good faith, so that in everything they may adorn the doctrine of God our Savior.

11 For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, 12 training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age, 13 waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, 14 who gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people for his own possession who are zealous for good works.

15 Declare these things; exhort and rebuke with all authority. Let no one disregard you.

Romans 8

5 Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires.
6 The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace.
7 The mind governed by the flesh is hostile to God; it does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so.
8 Those who are in the realm of the flesh cannot please God.

Forgive me God when I do things that are against Your Holy Spirit and don't please you.
