ME
Hello,
Just a few things on my mind that I would like to share with you people who have some type of addictive problem.
For most, it is alcohol. Yes most of us have used all types of drugs.
The problem is putting the plug in the jug. The Solution is to keep it there.
For us to keep it there, we have to maintain a conscious contact with God.
It is much easier to stay sober than to get sober.
And staying sober requires us to work on ourselves and our defects if character.
We are to stay humble and grateful.
Not to get too hungry, angry lonely or tired.
A REAL alcoholic does not think as a normal person so that is why we have to have to go to any length to get it.
We do this ONE DAY AT A TIME. We stay Spiritually fit. We have to. We have to depend on God to help us cause no human power can relieve us this battle.
Speaking of mentally; my best thinking got me were I could no longer go. I had to look up and ask God to help me.
Now, after being sober a few 24 hours, I look back how mentally sick I was and how long it took to get me there.
I am much better than I used to be. But I have to watch my thinking and motives.
I can never take a drink safely without wanting the whole bottle.
Jesus came for us to have life and it more abundantly.
Today I grateful that I am able to be able to post a few simple words from a REAL heart.

Re: ME
God is REAL.
I met a fellow a few months ago at an A.A. meeting that came for an al-anon ( meeting for families of alcoholics) meeting.
His 38 year old son has been on a drunk for 6 months now. Wife signed divorce papers today and is about to lose a 80,000.00 a year job, I went with the dad to go see his boy today. Stayed a few minutes and he had been sober 2 days. I talked to him about me and how I got and where i am at now.
The dad was on cloud 9 when we left. He told me That I help more in that 10 minutes the he had in 4 years. He told me it was a God thing............It was!
The dad now wants me to go fishing at Ky. Lake in his boat , below Ky Dam.
I take it he has found a new friend. This friend has been sober over 28 years.
Nice friend to have.
One never knows how God will work if you let Him.
Just thought I'd share a little.
