I've been doing it wrong this whole time. I frequently go to bed angry. Revenge, Fear, Mistrust, Grief, and Hatred... This is my language. People at church quite often irritated me because they seem very jolly. They seem to run around church as if they never encountered any problems in life. If this is the case, I thought, "God why are you giving me misery, while 'that person' has it all together?" When I got to know the families, I realized my issues were universal. We're all going through similar situations. Does that mean my neighbors were being superficial and faking their contentment?

No, I learned my problem began with me. God, why was it so hard for me to dissolve my anger, fear, mistrust, and hatred? Lord, my issues are real, but with your strength please help me guide my emotions and my heart. Forgive me for the error of my ways. Cast away my fear of the obvious situation. Cast away my doubt in your power and love. Lord, dismiss anger, judgement, and grief. Restore peace.

Knowing my surroundings, help me see that Your Power, Your Mercy, Your Love, and Your Will is greater than all challenges set before me. Lord, let this truth reign over me. Forgive me for having greater faith in my doubt. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
