prayer request
Hello
well my son , Marcus, is having another surgery on April 2nd. I would love to ask for prayer from anyone who is willing!
this is his second major surgery , it is a bypass in his intestines.
My prayer is that this fixes the problem once and for all! He has not been able to eat solid food for a couple of months and he is in constant pain, suffering tremendously! So I appreciate any prayers thank you!
We believe that God is in control, and as Jesus prayed in the Garden "Father take this cup from me, but not my will, Your will be done" and knowing Joni Erickson Tada's story, we believe that we can ask God anything, but ultimately it is His decision. We also believe that whatever decision God makes in regards to Marcus , will be Gods will.
ps. did you know that they use glue to put him back together (the skin cutting) no longer sewing..even with major surgery!. weird hu?

Prayers are rising to our Father God in the name of Jesus, on behalf of Marcus. Prayers also for comfort and peace for you, Crzychik. May God's blessed and perfect will be done.
God bless and keep you, both.
Love,
Mack

Re: prayer request
Hello,
I havnt been on this for a while, just wanted to update on my son...
It wasnt long after his second surgery that he began having the same symptoms again, it is now Sept. and he has not been able to eat again. He drinks his food, and has been in pain since about one week after surgery. (May)
I know God is in control, but I wonder.... Does God want him to live a life in pain, out of school and life, and on pain meds? I dont know the answer to that, cuz this has been his life basically since he was 12 years old.. (now 17)..I think it is different when someone has a disability without constant pain and pain meds that render you useless.....(still tough I know) but.... I guess my question is... Do we need to stop with the "searching for an end to his pain, and just accept the life on the couch with pain meds?" could God actually be saying to us Yes, this is his life... accept it?......Im sure God can say that, but I just dont know??? any ideas?

Re: prayer request
continue to pray...
I do not know why God allows our children to hurt.
I can only look to God's word for example and guidence.
Why did He let JOB go thru his suffering.
Why did He allow Joeseph to be sold into slavery.
What up with Daniel and his experiences.
In our weekness, HE is strongest.
God was with them. HE had a greater plan, one for them to prosper, one for HIS glory.
God gave them strength to carry on. What we might call today, the Holy Spirit, God
provided them with some form of continued education, comfort and strength.
The good book doesn't say the parents went thru these struggles at their sides.
The experiences were theirs. But to get thru them, they needed faith in God.
Where did they learn this from?
How did they know about God in the first place?
How did they know to trust in God?
How did they know about obedience and faith?
Perhaps they learned about those things from stories told by the campfires in the evenings.
Perhaps as they fell to sleep at night someone told them bedtime stories.
Somehow they got their faith by hearing the word of God. Perhaps from their parents?
Shiela, you are already on this path. God has a plan. The way to learn about it is to seek God.
Put God first in all things. Sometimes the healing needed is not in the physical, even though there
may be needs, but in the spiritual that allows us, thru God, to overcome the handicaps.
My point is we need to help our children to seek God. Help them to regonize God's will and His grace.
In that, I do believe our children will find their healing and strength. They look to their parents for
the pattern to do this. Set the example. Show the strength of your own faith. And if that faith is
weak, strengthen it. Seek Him. And continue to pray. I do believe He has a greater plan for Marcus.
All things are possible thru God.

I love you both. I continue to lift you both up in prayer.
