What does this verse mean?
Isaiah 65:16
So that he who blesses himself in the earth
Shall bless himself in the God of truth;
And he who swears in the earth
Shall swear by the God of truth;
Because the former troubles are forgotten,
And because they are hidden from My eyes.
Personally I think it's speaking of our words being powerful enough to bring blessings or curses to ourselves. As well as Gods grace.

And because they are hidden from My eyes.

Sorrow looks back, Worry looks around, But faith looks up! Live simply, love generously, care deeply, speak kindly and trust in our Creator who loves us.

I looked it up on Bible gateway.com and went to the message version
13-16 Therefore, this is the Message from the Master, God:
“My servants will eat,
and you’ll go hungry;
My servants will drink,
and you’ll go thirsty;
My servants will rejoice,
and you’ll hang your heads.
My servants will laugh from full hearts,
and you’ll cry out heartbroken,
yes, wail from crushed spirits.
Your legacy to my chosen
will be your name reduced to a cussword.
I, God, will put you to death
and give a new name to my servants.
(Then whoever prays a blessing in the land
will use my faithful name for the blessing,
And whoever takes an oath in the land
will use my faithful name for the oath,
Because the earlier troubles are gone and forgotten,
banished far from my sight.)

But after reading both over and over I do not have an answer other than you sow what you reap.

Re: What does this verse mean?
Nice verse!
In everything you do, acknowledge God.. come before Him and seek from His hand, the True God. And dont seek a blessing by a false god or swear oaths to idols.
Hope this helps?
God bless
