if you are still holding onto any of this junk you gotta just put it down at the foot of the cross and leave it! it will keep you from your relationship with God. our junk holds us in our selfishness. it's a ball and chain holding us back. draggin it around is exhausting and that's exactly what the enemy wants. he uses it to torture us and we let him. picture yourself beating yourself up with with chains where each individual link is a secret or regret that you haven't given up to the Lord. as soon as you let it go and accept His forgiveness that link will disappear - as far as the east is from the west! when you let one go and see how much better you feel you will want to get rid of the others so much faster! Accept the gift of forgiveness that Jesus paid for up on that tree! Hurry! Don't keep beating yourself up a second longer!

prayers goin up for strength, brother Cuc! He cherishes you and your honest love for Him! may you feel His great Love for you just saturate you in a wave! i close my eyes and seek Him and feel Him gently urge me to let go of the handles that i grasp so tightly. the tears well up and overflow as the pain that is heart-wrenchingly tied to those bags that i have held so dear to my heart like they are who i am are then lovingly and patiently taken out of my grip. then the relief comes! and His Love blankets me! then the Joy that comes with the morning!

you can do it Brother! I believe in you! HE believes in you!!

I too have that problem...like what I have done in the past can surely make me feel I am that much more undeserving of His love. It seems easier to go to God and ask for forgiveness than to forgive ourselves. That is how it is for me. The past sins still haunt me so I guess it is a process of letting go. thank you so much for the encouraging words. God bless you!

yes, the enemy and his tricks! he always whispers in our ears and reminds us of the horrible things we did and how could God ever love us when we are so bad.
but he is the liar. this is what he knows how to do - and do well - because we believe him.
it's so hard to forgive ourselves. we are our own worst judge. i had condemned myself to die and was on the path to getting there soon. But God is so faithful and loving. i thought He was n't hearing me cry out to Him, but He caught every tear in His hand and stood by me patiently waiting for ME to LISTEN to HIM. He led me to oasis for a crash course on forgiveness.

it is a process...a painful and lengthy one. but if God is FOR us who can possibly stand AGAINST us?

press on! you can do this! God is holding you close! and He is so very pleased with you! Listen to the still small voice and let Holy Spirit lead you onto each new step along your path.
