living a life of purpose

Postby eletiastrength » Mon Jul 23, 2012 1:23 pm

I battle with staying strong as a Christian. I hate it when my faith gets altered or weakened.
In todays society it is so hard to know what the truth is, there are so many view points and theories out there about God and the Bible. I joined this website because I recently in my early 20's am battling the thought of suicide. I feel like when I was younger I used to have so many dreams and now reality is settling. It has been a hard time struggling with finishing school, wanting my own independence, losing my grandmother, breaking up with my boyfriend of many years due to him cheating on me. Sometimes I try to take drugs to ease the pain, but i know that is not the way. I feel like I have no friends, and I'm just a freak...with bad social skills. I know I have purpose I just wish I knew how to achieve that...How to deal with my emotions better and be a happier person.
pray for me.

Welcome too Oasis first of all.
I had thoughts of suicide when I was younger and I tried to carry them out by shooting myself and OD'ing. God had other plans for me.
Looking back It was selfish thing on my part. Everything seemed to focus around me, me, me, me, me.
If you want the Truth; you will have to go to God's Holy Word. Not man's view nor sayings.
Look at everything from a Spiritual side instead of the worldly ways of this wicked world.
I am glad you found us as there are many studies, Forums and chat programs.
I came here hurting too about 5 years ago.
I have grown and my faith is stronger.
We all have bad days, but God never leaves us. maybe He wants us to learn something as we are going through something.

I hope you will find Peace and Joy soon.

In Christ Love,

Real *ReadBible*
