Sharing about my life

Postby JohnR » Fri Jun 01, 2012 11:21 pm

When I got married both my wife & I partied. We were both pretty carefree until she became pregnant with our 1st child. Well she stopped (Thank God!) & settled down but I didn’t. I’d stay out all night “doing my thing”. I never cheated on her with other women, not to say that I didn’t come close a few times, but I defiled our wedding bed anyway by doing other disgusting things (Too personal & don’t want to go into details but I’m sure you know what I mean). Then our life began to fall apart in 2000 when I lost my job of 18 years. I found another job soon after with a substantial loss of pay then in 2003 I lost that job, 2 days later we had our house foreclosed on, had to cash in my 401k, & leave everything we had ever known in New Jersey to move to Texas (We moved in with my Sister-in-law). Well a few months later with the help of my father we found our own place but because of a lack of steady work, little pay, & taking in too many animals this place is literally falling apart. I really haven’t been a very good provider, father, or husband. It’s no wonder she doesn’t want to have a physical relationship with me anymore! So as you can see I have my work cut out for me. I know I’m on the right track because it really bothers me that some of behavior I’ve engaged in is not only tolerated now a days but almost promoted & glorified. It makes me sick! I want God to make me well so I can expose (Maybe write a book) Satan’s lies with God’s truth!!! PLEASE PRAY FOR ME. *Pray*

Hello John,

I am sorry for your struggles. It is very therapeutic to get the struggles we endured out and in the open so we can make more room within to fill up with new that is coming our way.

When looking over your life struggles ask Him to guide you and go through them one by one with Him. Do an "inventory" so to speak. Admit your faults and be willing to make ammends for your part of the action (just like you done in your other post to your sister's in Christ, you are well on your way my friend *Clap* ). After doing so you now have this new freedom (from past mistakes and regrets etc...) in choosing to do otherwise when a similar situation occurs. We do our part and become accountable and responsible for our actions only. We practice this in all our affairs in our life.

Continue on the path He has led you on. See you next step.

God bless
♥Jill

John,
Thank you for sharing your story. I can relate to the party scene quite a bit. I'm ashamed of some of the things I used to partake in also. But we can move on and grow from these lessons we learned and I believe you made a good choice by coming here seeking for help.
I wish you luck and will keep you in my prayers.
