Hello Popples (((hugs)))

God bless you this day.

When a person begins following Christ Jesus as their Saviour, they are forever changed, and the sanctification process has begun and will continue until we are with Him in Heaven. Jesus is a Friend to all, however, most are not a friend to Him. If we are walking and representing Him, then we are to be a true friend and neighbor, by loving them the way Jesus does...with His love, by His guidance.

We are in the world, but no longer of the world. We are no longer friends with the world based on worldly standards, but we can be The Lord's representative -- laying down our own agenda and needs and be His hands, His feet, His mouth, His heart.

Luke 10:25-37 is a good read concerning being a good neighbor / friend.

Popples, you are new in your relationship with The Lord, so He may separate you from your old "friends", for a time -- until you feel strong enough in Him, not to be swayed and further tempted by old relationships. The Lord is willing to be our very Best Friend, and once we are well grounded in that blessed relationship -- our relationship with Him -- we will no longer crave the worldly type friendships, based solely on worldly commonalities, where we compare what this one did or did not do for us (what have you done for me lately, type of thing), but instead, our main focus and love concern will be to share and example Christ Jesus with them, praying they come to Him and are forever with Him for Eternity.

That is one of the reasons God gives us one another...fellowship with other Christians, so we can grow together in Him.

I hope you will ask The Holy Spirit to read Luke 10:25-37 with you. Prayers are rising to our Lord in the name of Jesus, on your behalf. May God's blessed will be done.

God bless and keep you, Popples (((hugs)))
Love,
Mack

Popples,
yeah what she said *BigGrin*
Seriously I agree with Mack, but I see it as if you are being a true friend and they are not then it is you that is doing right in the Lords eyes, THAT my friend is all you need to concern about.
I know what you mean though I have had those type of "friends" you do and do and do for them and reach out to them but never in return BUT you must look at what YOU are doing NOT what they are NOT doing and know you are causing a smile on the Lords face cause He sees you doing as He would want and not for a return.
Keep your head up and keep your eyes on God
Cuc

Sorry about chat I didn't see it till later last night, I better get back to work

Hello Popples (((hugs)))

Christians are sinners saved by grace -- unmerited favor from God. We are all learning and growing in Christ. We all still sin, fall (screw up) and are selfish. Praise God for grace, for the opportunity to repent and be renewed.

God's Word tells us that if we have a problem with a brother or sister, to go to that brother and sister and talk with them, gently and in His love. And, if they will not listen, then ask another to come along with you to speak to them again, etc., etc., etc.

Our goal should be that they be renewed and restored unto God. At the same time, we are to forgive as we have been forgiven. God is Good.

We are to walk in love, and hope the best for others. If they do something that is disappointing to us, the enemy will often try to convince us that we should not have let our guard down and let them in. Extending love and having hope towards another is not being weak, dumb or a sucker -- no matter what satan whispers.

If you want to discuss this with me in PM, please feel free to do so. (((hugs)))

God bless and keep you.
Love,
Mack

Hello popples

Maybe it is just me , but it had always been that which was in my head that got me into all kinds of jams ... it wasn't untill I started listening to my heart (for, that is where my Lord resides) that things started to make a difference in my life .

Like I said , maybe it is just me .

In Christ , our Lord
