Struggling - Day 3

Postby JohnR » Tue May 29, 2012 4:34 pm

Woke up from a nap before going to work yesterday depressed. Came home, couldn’t sleep, & stayed up until 3am watching TV. Woke up at 11am, went back to bed, & didn’t wake up until after 2pm. I just feel so overwhelmed. I’m 55 years old & have nothing to show for it. We live in a rundown mobile home that isn’t fit to live in even for all the animals we have (which is too many). I barely make enough money to keep the electric & water turned on never mind feed all these animals (I work with my wife cleaning Bldgs. because I don’t have a driver’s license). Every time I clean/fix up the house it winds up either back the way it was of worse than before (my wife won’t admit it but she’s a hoarder). I have no physical relationship with my wife (we’ve been married 26 years) which causes me to do things that make me hate myself even more (I don’t think I have to give any details). I’m on prescription pain killers & I’m going to run out soon (next day or two) and that’s going to make me even more miserable  . I either sleep too much or I can’t sleep at all. I just can’t stand my life & really wish it was over.

Oh John! *hugs* That would be difficult to live under all of that day after day. My heart aches over your pain. I am praying for you. For Gods spirit to touch your spirit and bring you peace and comfort and healing. For Him to meet all your needs. Love you brother.

God started to comfort me before I even got home from work. Your prayers are working!!! I sometimes give in too easily to Satan’s lies & let him control me. Islam got one thing right…GOD IS GREAT!!! I keep forgetting Romans 8:11 And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you. WOW – Think about what an unbelievably powerful statement that is! THE SPIRIT THAT RAISED CHRIST IS LIVING IN US!!! WE CAN ACCOMPLISH ANYTHING!!! For too long in my life I would get angry because of circumstances & would curse God. What I was actually doing was cursing myself & every time I know Satan was laughing. God IS going to heal me & make my life right & take me places I can’t even imagine right now. God Bless each & every person on this site. God is going to bless us all if we just keep following & allowing Him to work in & thru us.

I just finished stepping stone 3...I AM FORGIVEN & I FORGIVE MYSELF!!!
John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

If Jesus can lay down His life so I can be forgiven, who am I not to forgive myself?
To everyone who come to this site who have put their trust in Jesus...YOU ARE FORGIVEN, FORGIVE YOURSELF!
