Forgiving my Father
I have hit the nail on the head! A lot of the issues I have with my relationship with God are the same issues I have with my natural father(s). One left me and the other molested me, and never took care of me. He promised me things and never gave them to me. Each of these problems with them is an actual problem I have in my spiritual walk with God. I have a hard time trusting God, and I realize its not completely because I am just a doubter. My past experiences with people especially men made me feel as though I could not fully rely on them because they were undependable. But Through forgiving my father it comes with knowing the biblical truth that before the father formed me in my mothers womb he knew me, and he knows the plans he has for me, and he cares for me, so I can cast alllll my cares on him! We carry so much that we really dont need to carry- at all. The Lord is my shepherd I shall not want, i can trust in the Lord with all my heart. And in all my ways I will acknowledge Him, and He shall direct my paths!

Re: Forgiving my Father
Amen!
I am glad you have discovered the problem. Through out your walk with God these doubts and fears may pop up from time to time. But now you know the truth so you can pull those weeds and remind yourself of who God really is. Just as you said, He cares for you. If He cares for you then He cares about every part of you and every portion of your life. What a wonderful God we have. I pray you can overcome what those of your past have done to you through Him.

Sorrow looks back, Worry looks around, But faith looks up! Live simply, love generously, care deeply, speak kindly and trust in our Creator who loves us.
