Hello
Well this subject is such a vast subject! I mean, I went through a period in my Christian walk at one point where I believed that all I had to do was ask for something and I would get it! rofl
Well it is funny, but then again, it is not because I was taught wrong.
I was to the point that one day I went storming in to my mothers house, where my schizophrenic brother was visiting, with a bunch of my "praying" friends. And we pretty much demanded that God heal him instantly because we had all of the faith that we needed. Wow was that ever a lesson! ( my brother is still a raging schizophrenic 30 years later)
Anyway....needless to say... I really appreciate this perspective on prayer...
We do need to get our hearts right with God, and we are not his boss!!!
I will never go to a "healing" service..if God wants to heal me I think He is able to do it wherever He chooses!!!! *laughter*
Also it is true that this kind of prayer is very damaging to ones faith!! I will not allow those kind of people to pray for my son due to that..... It makes you feel like it is your fault that you are not healed....and I dont want my son, or any other person to feel that...
God is not like that...besides we will all be perfectly healed one day in Heaven anyway *AngelYellow*

So true. Sometimes there's a spiritual healing that needs to take place before the physical healing. If a person is healed of depression instantly it does not fix their marriage that is crumbling. Fix the marriage the depression will go too. Know what I mean.

Every day we are one day closer to our healing. Because like you said we all will be perfectly healed in heaven. No more sickness.

Oh me to!!!!!! That will be a glorious day. I can get homesick if I think about it to much so I try to focus on the good that is here. Somedays it's difficult when there seems to be so much evil all around. So I turn to nature and see the good in the little birds and the beauty of the flowers, the power and peace behind the waves at the lake. *hug*
