My step stone 1

Postby Bearer Of Light » Thu Oct 13, 2011 2:50 am

Hi,
I'm new in here and found this website so decided that it's time to start talking to other fellow Christians. I've been out of the loop for a very long time and decided yesterday to try and discover what God's plan is for me. My first entry to share with you is this: I'm 40 and feel extremely lost in my life. I don't think I really know who I am or what my direction and purpose is in my life. I've bounced around from job to job and country to country for half my life. That is a clear sign of that I've been searching for something. I'm now settled in England with my own family, but still cannot seem to figure out the ''who I am'' part or what I need to do with myself. I really hope that doing this 14 step program will help me answer these questions, along with any insight from any readers. and most of all I hope that God will help me through the connections I make with others in this forum. Amen.

Hi Bearer Of Light and welcome to Oasis. Cool name! *BigGrin*

Im so glad the Lord led you here. I believe God wants to show you who you are in Him...who He is in you...and the plan He has always had for your life. God is so good...you have been searching all over the world...and going from job to job...and you may see it as a waste..but, God doesnt. He can use the experiences youve had as part of His purpose in your life. Its really good to meet you. When you are finished with these steps there is another forum..with another really awesome study called Many called, Few chosen. Check it out. It is Holy Spirit inspired as well, and is an awesome tool that will help you discover the calling God has on your life. Dont try to do them both at the same time, though. The counceling is a really important step...the weeding all the lies the enemy has told you and letting the Lord love on you with His truth.

God bless you and again, welcome to Oasis!

In Jesus,
luv momo *Halo*

Hi Momo,

It is funny in a way how God led me here: I typed the question into Google: ''Dear God, what do I do with my life?'' And the result that seemed to fit best was the second on the list (2 is my lucky number along with 7) and here I am!

Thanks for the reply and the compliment :) I chose the name I use because many years ago, I had a dream ... a very vivid dream that I was inside a church of some kind; built from cut stone blocks and wooden beams.. and within this church were a few people standing in a semi-circle around me. I was apparently the focus of this dream and the people in it. And the relevant part to the forum name is that in my right hand held high was a pure crystal shard, clear as air almost ... and from this crystal shard emanated a pure white flame... a whiteness that only God could show you.... very bright light, but soft on the eyes. It did not burn or harm me, but it just danced around on my hand and on the crystal I held. I can only assume this was a very important message from God. Although I still have not a clear idea what this dream means. But its the one dream I can always vividly recall for many years now.

I will look forward to reading that other forum after these steps are finished :) I hope to read more from you and others in the forum. I feel very relaxed and at peace while writing here, as if I am among long lost friends. Looking forward to finding my way through HIM.

Blessings to you! *Halo*

Hello again, BoL, still luv that name!! *BigGrin*

God just amazes me! So many times..almost all the time, the Holy Spirit wants people who come here to know that He has heard their cries and leads them here. I dont believe anything happens by accident or chance. As sure as you have a hand to type with, be assured He led you here!! He is so amazing. He is so awesome!

I found your dream really interesting. If this was from God, He will make its meaning evident to you. What I got from it is that He is going to use you to witness Him to others. A Light in the darkness...His light. His love..and sacrifice..and mercy.

God bless you and yours, my newfound friend. You are gonna love it here..... *JesusSign*

In Jesus,
luv momo *Halo*

Thank you very much for your messages Amie and Jill. It is nice to see others involved and offering support. I admit, I've never done this sort of thing before so I hope that being here with you all will be a great way to get back to God, and learn to be open to HIM and open to HIS children... all of you *Halo*

I'm a bit shy about things, but I'm trying my best to be open and share in order to receive HIS blessings.

Thank you momo again for your replies. I look forward to building a good friendship with you in HIS name. any guidance or advice anyone has I will happily read *hug*

I need to write my stepping stone 2 journal sometime today... after work. Looking forward to getting back in here later today!

Love to you all and blessings *JesusSign*

STEPPING STONE 2 -

Postby Bearer Of Light » Fri Oct 14, 2011 12:19 pm

STEPPING STONE 2

It was an interesting read about self forgiveness. Somehow I feel like that doesn't fit... but yet it also does fit. I can't seem to establish a mental connection with this concept. It seems so foreign to me, maybe thats how out of touch with God I really have been?

I'm also pondering the path I'm on and where I will end up with it.
I think many thoughts about what I am going to do with myself and who I truly am. I know that this must be similar for many many of you and other people around the world. Just hope that with 40 good years behind me, I will find my way again and now with a better focus on God in the process, maybe things will be different this time around in my life. May Jesus guide and enlighten me to the way I should go. Amen.

STEPPING STONE 3

Postby Bearer Of Light » Sat Oct 15, 2011 5:48 pm

Today i went to do my volunteering at the parkland in my region. I have to say that being outside is very God inspiring. Being out among the trees and the earth, nature and animals... it was fantastic. I had some thoughts during my day about self-forgiveness and about the usual search for my own path and what to do with my life. I pray that i will be healed spiritually and be ready to face my day upon which God shows me what my path really is.

I am really enjoying doing this program and pray for all of those on it as well, that God will help you all find what you are looking for. Amen

Heya BoL,

I dont know how I missed your step 2! *Doh* Anyway, is it that you dont have a hard time with forgiving yourself for things, or, is it that you have a really hard time with it?

Ya know, I dont think you are going to have a problem figuring out the Lord's calling on your life. What are your strengths? What are your passions? What really interests and moves you? Its obvious to me that you have faith..and, through that faith, people reading your posts are touched in ways that we dont know...but, God does.

Keep seeking, bro. He will make it plain to you. Sometimes the waiting is the hardest part..at least for me, it is *BigGrin*

God bless you, bro. Keep pushing forward.

In Jesus,
luv momo *Halo*
