Re: My niece
Most Heavenly Father, Savior Jesus, and Comforting Holy Spirit, I lift precious Taylor up in prayer. John 10:10 says the thief comes to kill, steal and destroy, but I have come that they may have life and have it more abundantly. I claim the this abundant life that Jesus promises for Taylor. I bind the thief who has come to this family and I plead the blood of Jesus on Taylor and her family. Please give the doctors wisdom from the Holy Spirit on how to treat Taylor. Bless the entire family with emotional and physical strength and healing. May all of this be done in accordance to Your Will in Jesus Name.

Hello,
Taylor's condition remains the same. Tomorrow at 8 am she will have a MRCP test. My understanding is that is a MRI that will look at her duodenum and the pancreas ducts. This will be very helpful for any future treatment, if any is possible. Please keep Taylor in prayer and that this test provide the doctors with useful information.
Her brothers and sister are coming up around lunchtime to spend the afternoon with Taylor and I. It is early release at school and we all are looking forward to it. Thank you Grandma for all the help this week. We couldnt have done it without you.
I am so tired this evening and I am going to try to sleep for awhile. I will update after the test.
Much Love,
Mari

Re: My niece
Almighty Father please give Mari and her family strength as they minister to Taylor. Send people to minister to them. Help Mari not to feel guilty about spending time with Taylor. This is a season that the Lord has allowed in their lives. Romans 8:28 is difficult to understand in the midst of this trial. Just as the poem "footprints" says "it is then that I carried you"! Allow Jesus to carry you sweet sweet Mari.

Good Morning Friends,
Taylor remains stable and comfortable for the most part. Thank the Lord! Her use of IV pain medication has been less and her pain patches are in full effect, this is Great news! She also has two nights without any retching, so so thankful. The days are now long as we wait for the next step. The attending resident that A LOT of work is going on behind the scenes reassured us yesterday. Yesterday Taylor had a significant increase in g tube output so he was concerned. We know from experience that this means that the intussusception is there and none of the gastric/bile is able to go down so it is backing up, thus the increase of output. However, we are so thankful to have the g tube to relieve this issue and remove it. In the late afternoon, the surgeon did come by and fill us in on the latest progress. She has consulted with five other surgeons, including the pancreatic surgeon from Good Sam and several others in the valley. She explained all five concluded that there was “something” there above her duodenum and it needs to be removed. This was good news she felt, as getting five different opinions would have further complicated her situation. The surgeons from Good Sam, recommended Taylor have an endoscopy with ultrasound. This might be able to give the doctors a better idea of what the “something” is and help to make a surgical plan. The test will need to be done at St. Joseph’s hospital, as it is not available for pediatrics. The plan will be to go over for the procedure and come back to P.C.H. Which we are very grateful for as Taylor wants to stay here. Again, we spoke about the upcoming surgery. We understand that it will be very serious and we will not know in advance the full extent of will need to be done until the surgeon is in there. Finally, the surgeon is still waiting to speak to the surgeon at Cleveland Clinic. We hope and pray that the test will provide the doctor with answers and make both the planning and surgery go smoothly.
Therefore, we wait and wait! My prayer for us today is to have patience and know that HE goes ahead of us and paves the way. I will keep Psalm 27:14,
Wait for the LORD;
be strong and take heart
and wait for the LORD.
close to my heart today and repeat it when I feel that the wait is too long.
In closing, I want to thank each of you. We are so blessed by each prayer, meal, childcare, visit, text and call we receive. We cannot do this on our own, we are so very thankful.
Much Love,
Mari
