Stepping Stone #1

My original problem I confessed in the SOS section under "Want to free Myself" on 15th Aug 2011. It took me one month four days to start the step 1 of the Healing steps. Now step 1 says to share my thoughts for each day. So I decided to start this journal here.

Step 1 - Today after reading thru the opening page of the healing steps what stuck me most was about FAITH.

FAITH ... Means to BELIEVE something with all your mind and heart.
So, Jesus is saying that if we BELIEVE, we can make anything happen

Now from today I am going to believe with my mind and heart that TRUTH ... Can set me FREE as given in -John 8:32
"And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free".

So I belive as I move on the steps one day at a time I will begin to feel the change within and as the days pass, I will be able to overcome my problem with DIRECTED steps of Faith and the help of our Lord.

You got it brother , the only thing I would change in that statement is , instead of writing "anything" .... I would write it as ANYTHING !!

Thanks Bro WAHN for your comment. I Rejoice and Praise the Lord for my decision to start on the Healing steps . This has influnceed another Brother whom I do not know at all to start on the Healing steps as well. Bro PJM has posted a reply on my comment I made on "SOS section - Want to free Myself" that because of my decision he too is starting on the healing steps. All Glory to be God for my helping another Brother too to start on the walk to freedom

Today after step 2 what influnced me most was the need to identify any and all problems, and to change my lifestyle, my thoughts, my attitude, and most importantly, my BELIEFS in order to defeat those influences in my life. It’s the way that I manage the condition that enables me to live a happier life, the life that God intended for me and THIS HEALING PATH WILL CHANGE ME FROM WITHIN. All Glory to God for directing me to Christianity Oasis.

Praise the Lord for I have completed step 3.

The thought inspried me most was Our sins cannot outdo God’s Grace. If we’re sorry for our sins, and repent to God through Jesus' name there is no effort whatsoever required of me to obtain God’s Grace. It’s a miracle that is already mine, all I have to do is accept it.

God doesn’t ask us to jump through hoops or stand on our head to be forgiven. He doesn’t demand that we work hard to win His love back. He just asks that we believe that Jesus paid the price for our sins on the Cross and that God raised Him from the dead. It’s so simple, we need only to trust in His Grace and LET GO (of my problem), AND LET GOD (remove it)!. I am on the right track to Victory. I also decided to get my login name changed to Lyon as I am no longer lost in the wilderness. Sending a pm to Phantom faith for the name change. All Glory to God.

Lyon!!! Amen!!!

It is so simple, isnt it? His truth will set you free. We make it so difficult when its all about His grace and mercy. Grace and mercy that are free gifts. And we cant win back a love that was never taken away from us to begin with. Its not like God saw you do something and decided He didnt love you anymore. His love is unconditional. Your post blessed me!

His grace is enough....so when you feel defeated, have fallen or failed, get back up, dust off, ask for forgiveness with a heart of repentance and move forward. His goal has never been to say Ahaa! Caught you! and keep you out of Heaven. His goal was always to make THE WAY for you to be with Him for eternity!

Thanks Sisters Pine & Momo for your comments & prayers. Also Sister Momo thanks for the beautiful song as well. Today only I managed to complete Step 4 as I missed 2 days 23rd & 24th due to some problem with my computer.

Many times for sins and mistakes that I have done even though I have gone before God and repented and asked his forgiveness I have not forgiven myself and have been wasting my time feeling guilty. So today I have learned through Stepping Stone 4 that Guilt is a bad seed. As long as it’s buried down deep within me it WILL grow. Unattended, it will become a big problem in my garden, because it will bloom and go to seed, and soon I will have a whole bunch of little problems that grow into big problems and it just keeps getting worse and worse. So now I am putting on my garden gloves, getting a good hold on that weed, and I am eliminating it from my life once and forever.

I am replacing that weed with the Step four seed of TRUTH by BELIEVING the TRUTH that when I ask our loving, merciful Father to forgive me for my sin in the name of Jesus ... That sin is as far away as the East is from the West ... AND NOW I AM FREE TO GET ON WITH GODS BUSINESS FOR MY LIFE. PRAISE THE LORD

Psalms 103:11-13 : For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him. As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us. Like as a father pitieth his children, so the LORD pitieth them that fear him.

Ahhh... a cruddy weed indeed, I am thankful God has revealed this truth to you and given you the encouragement to tackle it before it seeds and sprouts more worries (luv the way ya worded that!)


I am truly looking forward to what our awesome Lord reveals to and through you in the coming steps.

While completing stepping stone 5 i noted that not resisting the temptation that Satan puts into my mind is the main casue of my Problem - SIN on the addiction to having cyber sex chats & porn. God has given us all free will, which is the freedom to choose what to do and by not resisting the temptaion and BECOME CONSCIOUS OF MY CONSCIENCE I give into temptaion and commit the SIN. When I ignore my conscience and don’t resist the temptation I just bought myself the bad seed of SIN for my garden.

Identifying my problem is a means to an end it forever, not a door that let’s other problems in. I have confessed to God exactly the TRUE Nature my SIN and ASKED God to help me weed it out. Every time I feel tempted to give in to the sin that I wish to seperate myself from, I now choose instead to read a step on the healing steps that I have read through and resist the temptation instead of going where my heart says Don't.

Strength and the resolution to my problem certainly will come from the Lord and with advice and prayer support from my Brothers & Sisters in Christianity Oasis Ministry who is standing with me I will certainly overcome the SIN and walk to FREEDOM and VICTORY.

Your posts..seeing what the Lord is doing in you..and through you..continues to bless me.

Lyon, there is a lonely place in our hearts that only the Lord can fill. We try to fill it with everything else...porno...drugs...if the enemy of our souls can whisper lies into that place we will fill it with everything but God. Im always amazed at how the Holy Spirit will take up residence in that place, when we ask Him to and when we allow Him to.

His promise is that we will never be tempted beyond our limits without His provision for a way out. Changing..or should I say exchanging what we've always done with what He wants to replace it with gets easier..the more we allow Him to give us the mind of Christ....through His Spirit...through the tools He gives us for help...and through praising Him for what He's done and for what He will do.

Words cant express the joy and thankfulness I feel in seeing what our God is doing in you.

Keep going..He has much more to show you.

Today I have completed step 6 though not on schedule as last 3 days was little busy.

So today I agree that ...

What if we controlled those thoughts that enter our Mind (Soul) ...Would we not then be able to control our emotions (spirit) and our body (flesh)? How do you strengthen your mind (Soul)? With knowledge of the TRUTH. After removing the seeds within as we have been performing and filling your mind with TRUTH, it will help you discern good from bad seeds (thoughts). NOW JUST HOLD ON HERE A MINUTE ... IS THIS ONE OF THOSE NEW WAVE OR SCIENTIFIC THEORIES? WHERE DID WE GET THIS IDEOLOGY FROM? THE ANSWER IS ... THE BIBLE We are told to ... Think GOOD thoughts.

Philippians 4:8 - Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

I started on the MIRACLE GROW chart it will change my lifestyle. A hard thing to do when normally I have a problem is to stop thinking about it. But now I am setting new goals for myself and now I do not ponder on my problem by keeping it in my memory, I have totally Released it into God’s hands ... GIVE IT TO GOD ... He wants me to FORGET THE PAST, THINK FORWARD AND HAVE GOOD THOUGHTS, Praise the Lord. Amen
