Day nine

Postby Christine_RL » Thu Jul 28, 2011 10:10 pm

I was feeling very lonely today and had a really low point during the day. After awhile I started to work on a new watercolor piece and I noticed that my negative feelings went away. I also listened to a webinar while painting, so I kept my mind off of those bad thoughts. It reminded me that I was dwelling on some bad thoughts and weeds and they were keeping me down in the dumps, but once I was working on something and listening to something else, I no longer focused on those negative thoughts. It almost seems too simple and logical, but maybe that's why it's so easy to miss.

This is one of my favorite verses:
Philippians 4:8
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, THINK on these things.

Wow Christine!

Sounds like your getting right at those roots and replacing them quickly *Clap*

Would love to see yr paintings if you care to share :) I like to paint myself. I have been painting in acrylics cause oils are a bit too expensive for me. I have tried watercolor, but i like the clumpy paint more for some reason. Maybe ill give it another go some day :) I like to play deep worship music when i paint, its called "soaking music" . Realy gets my creative juices flowing.

You are doing awesome sis.

God bless n keep ya

Thanks, Jill! :)

Sometime I'll try to post some pics of my watercolors. I have worked in oils and acrylics but my favorite is watercolors. It can be so relaxing. I like to listen to music while I work and then sometimes I like it to be quiet. What worship music do you listen to when you paint?
