Day eight
I was overwhelmed with feelings of discouragement today. Still working on weeding out bad thoughts by replacing them with good thoughts. I have so much work to do in that area.
Today I read something written by Norman Vincent Peale that was something I really needed to see today. Here is an excerpt from what I read that really captivated me:
#3 from the excerpt really stood out to me and after reading it, I realized that I have a tendency to think "lack" instead of abundance. Wow! That holds a powerful message.
I also found a wonderful prayer today that addresses the issue of "worry."
A much needed scripture to see today from lesson 8 is the 23rd Psalm:
The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: He leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for Thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: Thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the House of the LORD for ever.

1. You can't think creatively if your mind is agitated. Therefore, ask God to give you a peaceful mind through which He can send answers to your problem.
2. Remind yourself that God will supply all your needs out of His vast abundance.
3. There is a law that if you think lack, you tend to create a condition of lack. Shift your thought pattern to one of abundance and believe that God is now in the process of providing what you need. In ways that will amaze you, your needs will begin to be satisfied.

A Prayer When Worried
Thou will keep him in perfect peace,
whose mind is stayed on thee.—Isaiah 26:3
Heavenly Father,
I’m worried and filled with fear.
I have tried to reassure myself
everything will be fine
but it doesn’t help.
Touch me with Your peace
and help me to remember
that because of You
there is nothing to fear.
Amen.

Hi Christine ,
Ah those weeds, there are so many it is almost impossible to get them all out in a day or two. Every day as we walk through our garden we check how our good seeds are doing. Are they flourishing? Do they need watered? Are they in the proper place for direct sonlight? When we look at the whole garden at once it may look overwhelming all the work that has to be done. May i suggest that you pick an area of your garden and focus on that area until it is tamed. As you do this you can move to other parts of the garden and if you see an easy weed to pull, by all means pull it and set it in the fire. Soon your garden will be under a whole restoration. Daily maintenance is needed. Hang in there and roll up those sleeves sis. Our hands do get a lil dirty and yes we do tire from a hard days work, so dont forget to wash the dirt off your hands so that no residue from the weed stay on us. And dont forget to rest .
Love ya much
God bless n keep ya
