In darkest hours of night
Thoughts of life n death
Did through my mind pass
Wonders pondered awhile
Who after life passed
Would then remember in heart
No one now burdened
Who after would then reflect
On a life so trivial
For exist in shadows I did
Far from life’s great light
Observing those who surround
Life enjoying with their loves
No one noticing I sit
Alone here in darkness
With no love near to share

Enclosed by darkness I laid
Pondering all that passed through
Suddenly was I taken far above
By a man clothed in purest of white
Many things so bright my eyes did see
Soaring through the heavens
From the earth far below
To beyond the north’s star
He asked of my thoughts to share
Of earlier wonders I did speak
Having no one near I shared
Who cares in this life so long
The truth of this he questioned
"When many on earth ask of the Lord
To place your feet on the lighted path
And heal the heart you hide from all"

I told him of this I could not believe
For none have come in hour of need
After a pause he did speak
"Look! Turn your eyes to the lights!
Prayers going to the Father above
Requests sent on your behalf
For healing and closure to come
From those who have eyes to see
Pain rages within your soul
Petitions on their way
To The Lord of Hosts
Even now does He hold
Waiting in hands outstretched
The answers sought by saints
Praying you to make
His love your own"
