Hope fades
Troubles mount
Hell fire arrows
Piercing soul
Heart faints
As mountain grows
Hiding His light
Shadows grow

Darkness covers
Face of weary
Only shadows
From light behind
Mountain so big
His light still shines
Not seen for mountain
Standing between

Climb the mountain
Up far above
Despair valley
See His light
Brightly Shinning
Still beaming
From Him
Enthroned above

His strength still given
In valley so low
Flooded by troubles’ sea
Raft of faith
Paddles of trust
Move faith to action
Compass of the Word
North to Him points

For those facing mountains of their own. Remember always in heart the darkness is only the shadow from the mountain blocking His glorious light. Climb upon the raft of Faith, to rise above the ocean of trouble. Use the Compass of His Word to guide, for always will it lead to His throne far above the north. Take the Paddles of Trust, to propel your raft back to Him and His light that gives soul meaning.
