Giving Up
Joey Roddy has threw in the towel on a prayer and a desire for a relationship with a Christian woman he has been praying for. He is praying for God to take away the desire he prayed for so long because he feels it will never happen in his lifetime inspite of how much he wants it to come to pass and it only leads him depressed, oppressed, frustrated and discouraged. He wants whatever God wants and says God's will be done. He can't fight the feelings anymore so he is giving up on expecting the prayer to come to pass. Joey Roddy needs prayer for healing, help in accepting the things he can never change and help in being content in all things regardless of the circumstances.

Re: Giving Up
So scary that I use to pray for the same just for a christian guy. Then I also realised God will give me whatever he thinks I need when and where. I also think we arent perfect so it is okay to make mistakes sometimes as long as you don't do them on purpose. If we were perfect we would have been God.

Re: Giving Up
Joey,
A delay in the answer to your prayers doesn't mean it's been denied. Perhaps He's in the process of grooming you to be the husband your future bride needs.
If I remember correctly, you're young . . . in your 20's. Unless you're omitting some important piece of information concerning this, I'd say it's a knee-jerk (please note: KNEE-jerk, NOT friend) response to think you'll never be married just because it hasn't occurred yet. The verse that comes to mind is this . . . Matt. 6:33 . . But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Check it out in the context it was written.
Be encouraged, Joey. Don't throw in the towel. Don't give up on your dream of a wife and family. Go hard after God and in the fullness of time (His time, not yours), and in due season, He'll accomplish His purpose for your life. Be pliable. Blessings! Bugsy
