Okay when I was smaller we use to live in this house, we moved when I was 14. But since then every time I have a bad dream that house is in it, in some way. So it has been going on for 8 years. And it freaks me out, because did something happen at that house or what that I am blocking out?. Why every time I have the most horrible dreams that house is in it? The dreams are supa scary. What to do?

I think often we have dreams that remind us of the past. That house may or may not be significant to something bad happening in the past. I think what you need to know is that the mind often pulls up places of familiarity in dreams...and this house is familiar to you. I wouldn't dwell on the house so much, but work on building a relationship with Jesus, so that when the dreams do come, the bad ones that is...you have someone to turn to when you awaken from them.

Hi Maddy,

Chaplain Petty told us during one of his sermons about a dream he had been having for years. It involved a huge black bear always chasing him and right before he got caught he would wake up. It scared him senseless and he could not figure out the significance of the dream. One night as he prayed to the Lord, it was revealed to him it was a trap of the devil and to defeat it he had to call on the name of Jesus. So that night when he had the dream, he stopped running, turned and faced the bear and called on Jesus name. But because he was so scared it came out in a whisper and the bear didn't hear so he said it louder "JESUS" and the bear stopped in its tracks and ran the other way. Since that night, he has not had that dream again and it's been over 10 years.

My advice to you: the house may have no significant value to you but it does to the devil. Do not give him power over you in your dreams, you can still call on the name of JESUS and He will hear and come. My sister, I pray that your dreams end or that their purpose be revealed to you so that with the power of God you can defeat the enemy. Be blessed and sweet dreams
