what is this when youre around people, like wally's or the mall, and you get one of several 'feelings': 1) pray, 2) repulsion - the best way to describe is like putting magnets together wrong, 3) run.

the feeling of being repelled is like ....its like yer lookin thru the mirror to the ugly other side. anyone relate? have insight?

then there's this other feeling, but not really feeling. its like when someone says something, you know they aren't being honest with themselves and others. they may even think they are but you can tell they arent. just something is not quite right with what they are saying.

Oh, yes, I can relate. God is Good!!! One of the gifts of The Holy Spirit is "discerning of spirits" and another is "word of knowledge". It sounds like He has given you both.

Discerning of spirits demonstrates itself by our becoming aware -- a sensing -- of the spirits around us, either in other humans, or in the invisible spirits (spiritual beings) who also operate in this earthly realm.

Word of knowledge demonstrates itself by a "knowing" that comes to us about others, situations or events.

We must be mindful of The Lord at all times. He is not only teaching and guiding us into all Truth for our own welfare, but He is also teaching and guiding us into all Truth for the benefit of others too, and the furtherance of His ministry.

Initially, I really got these all mixed up. I knew from an early age that I was spiritually sensitive; however, because I didn't really understand what it was, the enemy of our souls played havoc with me in conjunction to it -- lots of booga, booga, booga stuff.

I know you've heard of the "fight or flight" thing -- well, I was the type to flee (flight) whenever I sensed lots of spiritual unrest, because I didn't know that some of what I was sensing was what others around me were feeling, I just thought I was one messed up person because the emotional vibes were so overwhelming. I cannot fully express to you how WONDERFUL it was to finally understand what was going on within me. Woooooooohooooooo!!!

The Holy Spirit gives us the power to become the sons and daughters of God, and He also gives us the power to do the work -- His Work -- of His ministry.

In regards to when you get "discerning" that someone is not being honest -- those are times to really pray, pray and pray. Our carnal side usually will want to get in on the action, and we must be careful not to react to our own carnal nudging, but pray for guidance from Him as to what to do with this information.

The fruit of The Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23) are so vital to this walk. Love is the FIRST fruit, so keep that in mind. Do a little fruit-check periodically throughout the day.

Remember the lyrics from a song back in the 60's -- Kenny Rogers and The First Edition) actually sang it..."I just dropped in to see what condition my condition was in" -- well, I drop in with The Holy Spirit, regularly, to see what condition my condition is in.

This vexation of the Spirit is a warning from God that something is amiss. Just as if we see or hear things that are contrary to God's Word, we know that it is just not right.

it's bothering Holy Spirit and because it bothers Him who is in me naturally it bothers me...

i noticed this. it was almost like i felt angry and offended by the dishonesty. but i also wasnt sure it wasnt just me being offended.

Galatians 5:22-23 i have read these twice already today woooooot \o/ the fruit check - think about everything i say or pray before i do such and weigh the words against the fruit?
