Hi Tam,

I’ve been reading some of your post. I wanted to share with you some things that helped me a lot. One thing that helped me was understanding calories and pounds. Approximately 2184 calories per day is needed to maintain a person’s current weight. Another thing you want to remember about calories is that for most adults, it is difficult to get adequate nutrients if eating less than 1600 – 1800 kcals day.

One pound equal’s 3,500 calories; so in other words, every time you eat 3,500 calories, you gain one pound. If you reduce the calories you eat every day, then you’ll start losing weight. If you reduce your caloric intake by 500—1000 calories per day, you’ll to lose about 1 to 2 pounds per week.

I’m not sure how many calories you consume per day, so I’ll use my information as an example. Here’s my example, I use to consume about 2600 calories per day: I reduced my caloric intake by 500- 1000 calories would equal 1600 -2100 caloric intake per day. I normally do 20 minutes each on the bicycle, treadmill, and elliptical and I burn approximately 86 calories on each. This equals 249 calories burned. The caloric intake is 1600 - 2100 minus 249 calories burned equals 1351 - 1851 total calories per day.

You may also want to incorporate daily exercise into your schedule, if you haven’t already. Start off with 30 minutes three times a week and work your way up to 60 minutes five days a week.

Also, drink a lot of water and if you exercise, you may want to drink PowerAde or Gatorade to restore the electrolytes that you may have lost during your workout.

If you do this, you’ll be able to eat whatever you like, just do it in, moderation.
I hope this helps and good luck, I’ll be praying for you.

Sunday Apri 17

Well todays schedule was off quiet a bit as I slep until 11 am.

11:30 1 c. alpha-bits 1/2 banana and water
3:00 fish sandwich from McDonald, apple slices and milk
6:00 1c alpha-bits, /2 banana and water
8:00 fiber bar

I know that I should not have had the McDonalds but ...it won't kill me to splurge every now and then. Didn't effect the sugar to bad.
The one thing that is killing me is I so badly want some oreo cookies and some milk. Sure eat just one....it wil kill the craving and won't hurt you. RIGHT! I can not eat just one oreo!! SO I will choose to refrain and this urge will soon pass. :D

Hi Favored
I really do appreciate your commet.
I am under doctors instructions on my calorie intake. If I drink more water than I am already drinking I will have to pour it in my ears. LOLOLOL I do exercise but chose not to write that here. As far as eat what I want........ I would love to, However I have been diagnosed as a diabetic so I am very limited on what I can and can't eat at this present time.
Thanks for caring.

I did good today until the evening. I have learned that a trigger for food is being upset.
Things were not so good last night at home so I really really missed up. I am sorry!

6:45 cereal, fruit and water
9:45 apple, 6 almonds and water
12:45 3 oz. of chicken, brocolli, and okra and unsweet tea
3:45 fiber
6:45 no dinner
10:00 half a bag of puffed cheese corn.( NOT the healthy kind)
12:00a.m. hot dog with no bread
1:20 mayonaise and crackers...don't know how many and at the time really didn't care and a glass of unsweet tea
2:40 a glass of milk

Ok so you get the picture. I am paying for it this morning but who cares. Sorry really a stinking attitude. Will work on it today.

OK so to be honest....Not doing good with my eating right now and really don't care sorry to say. IF it looks good and I want it I am going to eat it. Yes sugars are going haywire, yes I am eating outta emotions and yes i know it is wrong and I am talking to God about it....but it is safer to eat than to si so I choose the eating to release some tension and pain.

6:45 2 small sausage biscuits and water
9:45 fiber bar and water
12:45 turkey lettuc and cheese sandwich on whole wheat and a fruit cup and water
3:45 2 pieces of left over pizza and water
6:45 another slice of pizza and milk
8:00 3 flavorice popsicles
9:30 a bowl of puffed corn and diet dr. pepper

The later the nights seem to be the harderst when I am loosing it on the eating but will have to do what I can to get it all back together. Just gotta get all my emotions and stress to line up and all will be good. Yes I am talking to God about it and I am trusting him....but it still hurts some. I have given him the pain, but it takes a little time for wounds to heal so that is what I am waiting on. So in the mean time I will try to redirect my steps and lean on Him and not on the food.
I just recognized that as I typed this out. I am letting the food take control instead of the one who can fix it and not cause more damage.
Geesh.....I must admit sometimes I love journaling and other times I just hate it because the truth WHAPS you right between the eyes. OUCH!!!
Oh well.....until next time........
