ok long time no post. i just wasnt into it. didnt feel i was gettin anywhere. monotony. blah. tryin it again. we shall see.
treating this 40 days in prayer to seek to become closer to God as Daniel did,
"I did not eat any tasty food, nor did meat or wine enter my mouth, nor did I use any ointment at all until the entire three weeks were completed." Daniel 10:3. i have spent several weeks praying for real change in my life and i believe this is where i'm being led. it's a complete submission and re-learning thing. i'm doing 40 days instead of 21 because i believe that 40 days breaks habit. Daniel ate only pulse (food from seed and drank water, no sweeteners, no chemicals, no caffeine, etc.)
4/28/11 day 1
8:00 apple
9:45 whole rolled oatmeal with cinnamon FF milk. water.

weds'day i went to the whole foods market...its like Christmas to get to go there, cuz its so expensive. i got brown rice flour, steelcut oats, teff and both black and white quinoa. i just made dough for pumpkin flatbread...its in the fridge and i cant wait to taste it. just finished making oatmeal with steelcut oats and a fresh apple. its cooling (i dont like my porridge too hot *BigGrin* ) it smells yummy. im gonna have roasted green beans for dinner and some of that bread. im really enjoyng this. we'll see what the Lord does from here. i have so many ideas things i want to make and do and cook and SHARE. i have this HUGE desire to give it to others. wish i had the pocketbook for that. if i could some how make enough money with something to give away a bunch more...well that would be ideal wouldnt it.

the cornbread
1 c cornmeal
1 1/2 c whole wheat flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 can rotel
mix and add water or more flour if needed to get to bread dough consistency. knead and place in a bowl covered with a wet cloth for an hour. use 1 Tbs oil and lightly coat a large cookie sheet. roll the dough out in the sheet about 1/4 thick. cook 20 mins at 350. delish with cheese or lightly buttered. i like it plain. i made these to follow Daniel's fast wherein he ate no pleasant food. Daniel 10:3
the applesauce bread:
1 1/2 c applesauce (the no sugars kind)
3 c whole wheat flour
2 Tbs ground cinnamon
the pumpkin bread:
1 can libbys pumpkin
3 c whole wheat flour
2 Tbs ground cinnamon
follow prep directions for the cornbread for these other 2 also
