Forgiveness

This will be a tough one for me. I've done exactly what was stated in step 4. I've said that I have forgiven people but still was cautious, not trusting, I've even said to myself that things will never be the same.

So I guess I haven't really forgiven anyone. How do I do that and protect myself from getting hurt again. But I want god to forgive me and so it is something that I must do. Now that it is clear to me what it means to really forgive someone (to make it like it was before the action took place) I will make a conscious effort to totally forgive.
I have a few people that I need to reach out to. I have butterflies

Wooohooo letting go and letting God! There it is. Forgiveness can be very difficult at times...I know it is for me...what is weird is some people seem so easy to forgive...and yet others more difficult...I wonder at times if maybe we weigh forgiveness on the amount of love we have for others...kind of makes you think.

Keep striving to forgive...it will set you free of a lifetime of burdens.

luv ya

Hello again FindingmyWay

Ah , that big Big BIG word , forgiveness !! And you know what else I noticed ? , The more I thought about it the more difficult it got for me to actually take the action

You do have a healthy way of looking at it , ""(to make it like it was before the action took place)""

At first things were going "right" , then , some-thing happened , and we veered off . If we were to take a closer look at what took place rather than who was it that did what , we get a bit better understanding of what took place , and with a better understanding , forgiveness becomes easier of a "task" we make it to be .

It is not as much as who are we forgiving as opposed to why is it that we need to forgive , it is more of freeing ourselves rather than make the other person go "scott free" so to speak .

Keep up the good work

In Christ , our Lord
