Em's thoughts Day 3

Postby em » Fri Jan 21, 2011 12:23 pm

So here I am, another snow day, I am off because I'm a teacher. And I'm having a pity party. A party where no one wants to join! I miss Steven and Timothy and the only way I see my daughters is on Facebook! There is an upside to this, I had a civil lunch with Scott (husband) at the house as I had to drop off my W-2 form. It was relaxed and easy. We need to keep a relationship for the children's sake, I want to keep the family intact as much as possible. I don't have the money to do anything or go anywhere; if I read I fall asleep; if I work on my jigsaw puzzle I think; computer games is what occupies my time. Work and church is my life right now and I do embrace that!

I have felt guilty in the past for spending time doing computer games and TV with crochet and just chatting away. But God revealed to me that these are things we do when we are sick and healing. Sudoku, crosswords.... And when I am emotionally needing healing, these things are appropriate - in conjunction with activities like reading the Bible and praying and fellowshipping, that serve the role of medicine.

God bless you in this time. This too will pass.

Just wanted to share that I'm glad you are here and I'm glad you are sharing and searching for Him. He is closer than you may think.

I asked what can I share with you and this came to mind...

Matthew 5:4
Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.

There is a promise in that verse.

God loves you and so do I. *hug*

And the Love of Jesus surrounds you continually...just know it gets easier...one step at a time...if you truly grow closer to God you will find the fulfillment of everything you seek...

*hug*

My prayers are rising for you.

Take care
Do you know my Jesus? Do you know my friend? Have you heard He loves you? If not, I'd like to introduce you.

Day 4 & 5

Postby em » Sun Jan 23, 2011 3:20 pm

The weekend was actually good. Had coffee with Deby, a very close friend from church. We decided on coffee only as we both didn't have the money for our usual brunch! I so enjoy our time on Saturday mornings as we share, cry, laugh and advice.
Today was filled with blessings from the Lord. He speaks and fills us with those 'aha' moments which are so enriching. I cried because of his blessings, not because I was sad. I kept looking for Steven hoping he'd show up....nope.
I have this gnawing feeling that something's going to happen, good or bad I know God will be in it.

Aw :) There it is! HOPE! Keep a tight hold of it by keeping your eyes one Him. The one who wills good for you. The one in which all blessings flow.

Love you! *hug*
