Prayer request for an unsaved friend

Postby living4Him » Sat Jan 08, 2011 11:57 am

I have a friend who overdosed last Monday. She has been unconscious since about 2 hours after that. She is on life support. The doctors say that IF she wakes up she will have some type of brain damage. It is apparent that they do not expect her to wake up. She has never mentioned any family and lives in the shelter here. I have had numerous opportunities to witness to her but have let those opportunities pass by because I didn't want to offend her or push her away. Now, I may never have another opportunity. What I wouldn't give for just one of those opportunities back. Please pray for her. Thank you. *Pray*

Hi living4Him...prayers are rising for your friend..and for you, too. living4Him, pray about this. The Lord knows your heart. This friend of yours is His, too. My sister passed away several years ago from an accidental overdose and there were many many times I could have witnessed to her as well. What we have to remember is this....your friend is His too. He knows this soul intimately. Talk to her while she is in a coma....Id be willing to bet she can hear you. If you are unable to see her, pray the Lord would bring a nurse to speak to her. The bottom line is only God knows this soul's heart. He isnt in the business of looking for ways to keep people out of heaven....His heart's desire is just the opposite. Let the guilt go...it serves no purpose. Take this experience and pray about it, leaving it at the feet of Jesus and know that He is in control. The spirit prays when even while we dont know how to pray...even in a coma. She is His. You are His. He will grow you through this experience.
Let the guilt go..it's not yours to carry. Will be praying the Lord's will be done in this situation. God bless you, living4Him.

in Jesus,
love momo *Pray*

Update

Postby living4Him » Mon Jan 10, 2011 7:28 pm

There has been no change in my friends condition. I do not know when they are going to do the brain scans which will determine whether or not there is any brain function. Please continue to remember her in prayer and those of us who know her. This event has affected our small close knit group in a very deep way. There are about 8 of us in the group and I only know of 3 that are saved. It is a support group but we have been through alot together and we are struggling now. I appreciate your prayers.

Dear Living4Him,

It's hard to add anything to the loving and Godly advice given by momo. Believe me when I say, we've all been there, having opportunities and maybe not doing what WE think we ought to have done. But God really DOES know your heart better than you do. He has all the questions answered for your friend in need and is there in your dear friend's presence. Keep praying...it immediatedly HELPS your friend, but it ultimately HELPS YOU even more.

Blessings and prayers to your friend, to YOU and all involved.

Still lifting you and everyone concerned up to our Lord, Jesus. My sister in Him, we never know how the Lord will use an experience like this to open hearts to Him. Though He doesnt cause things like this to happen, He knew from the foundation of the earth what your friend would choose to do, who would be affected and has had a plan in it...He doesnt cause this, but will use it for His glory. Pray for these others, too...that this would bring them either closer to the Lord or that through this, the lost ones will open their hearts to Him. Small seeds planted by you through this time will be increased by Him. God bless you, my sister. Keep praying...keep planting seeds. Again, His perfect will be done in all things.

in Jesus,
love momo *hug*
