I really like your kitten looking in the mirror picture. It works in reverse, too.

God loves you every day. God loves you when you are bad and when you are good.

The worst thing that you can do to someone who loves you is to ignore them. Keep talking to God.

Phil Yancey has a book on the Psalms where he talks about how the Psalmists frequently are yelling at God.

It is God who will change you - not you - God will change you as you let him. Guilt is a barrier. Try not to grade yourself or condemn yourself. (I need to master that myself - will I ever?)

Look for blessings. Be thankful. Be happy. Give yourself blessings - smell the flower, listen to the music.

And know that the saddest, absolute saddest thing that you could do is to withdraw. Allow yourself to be loved.

*Pray* Cinny,
i am praying for the healing of your soul, heart and mind....

I too came from a dysfunctional family...And, I have also been through many types of molestations, rapes, physical, mental, verbal, and emotional abuse throughout my lifetime from the age of 3yrs old till now...

And, I can truly relate to the resentment and anger and the inability to forgive and forget...

But, what I now realize Cinny is forgiveness is NOT so much for THEM...as it (truly) is for US...

Did you get that??? forgiveness is NOt for them it is really for US...

How do we expect to heal from wounds if we keep pulling off the scabs before they heal???

you can't....

But, when we truly let go and let god...We are not only healed....but, then those wounds get to heal and turn into scars that no longer hurt....the memory of the pain that once was is and always will be there...only difference is now it no longer hinders or hurts us...

And, by forgiving the offender we free them from that offense..allowing God to deal with their hearts..removing this invisable mental prison bars we been stuck behind all this time we harbored all that unforgiveness anger and resentment towards them

I used to think people only deserved to be forgiven at what ever I felt they deserved to be forgiven

But, that is not how it works...

to forgive is to forget

Not that it happened...but that we remember that offense or hold it against them no longer..not even in the slightest bit...

We don't need to know all the answeres to all of life's questions' we just need to learn to love them like Jesus!!!

amen

I just got this revelation today

I always knew..I just never really understood till now..

God bless you Cinny

The Butterfly

Postby ciny » Tue Jan 25, 2011 11:13 am

The Butterfly

The old grey farmer glanced out his kitchen door,
intime to see a butterfly, engaged in quiet a chore.
His cocoon held him captives,as he pulled to get away,
The struggle grew intense, and the man began to weigh,
Howw he could free the butterfly and let him fly away.

So with a knife in his hand,he gently cut inside,
To free the the tiny butterfly, who quickly fell and died.
He needed time to fight for the strenght to stand the stress,
to develop grace and poise so he could live at life's great best,
And so the need for us to spend sometime in suffering's nest.

And though I have not the vision to see past the pain I bear,
I can rest in grace sufficent in the heat of my dispair.
God wants to breed endurance, through the trials that arise,
And mold me into someone, who can comfort and advise,
so try to be paitent, for i will soon be a butterfly.

Oh,how I want to soar as a dove with butterflies,
To feel his freedom and i long to share his skies,
But But since he bought the fire to the place it needs to be,
I ask Him to do His purifying work, and perfect his love in me."
